No Blue for me this weekend, I'm taking the family up to NY. I think we'll ski Belleayre one day and Windham the other. Hope everyone has a fun weekend!

I thought there was no way in the world I was getting out yesterday. My cab driver asked me like 10 times if I was sure I wanted to go to the airport, and you couldn't even see 20 feet in front of the car with the blowing snow. I heard an airport worker say "I don't know what all these people are doing here, no flights are gonna be going out today". Then as I was checking in, I overheard a couple guys whose earlier flight had been cancelled saying that nothing was available for a couple days and that they were driving to idaho falls. I was shitting my pants at this point. Then there was a brief break in the wind, my incoming plane landed, they got our asses on the plane and we took off. I was very lucky. Fingers crossed for you my friend.

Day 3 of 3 for me today at JHMR. Wish I would have hit the powder jackpot this year but had a great time anyway! Did a nice tour of the mountain from skiers right to left then back right again. Bivouac run was pretty chalky and nice, and most of the north facing steep stuff was pretty good. Split off from JFSkiDan and did Cheyenne gully which was very cool to north hoback which was frozen solid and very exhausting skiing. Wanted to close out the quads and took a final tram lap - rendezvous bowl to Laramie traverse, through some trees under the thunder lift shack to a very nice paintbrush/ toilet bowl then right down to the mangy moose. My third time to Jackson with this crew and a great time as always. Look forward to coming back again. Here’s a nice pic from the cliff where paintbrush spills out into toilet bowl.

I think I’m burping in this picture! Had lots of fun today. They all can’t be massive pow days but still managed to let out some involuntary hoots and hollers and found some legit nice snow. Hoops gap was ROTD I think, but Alta 2 gave me the adrenaline rush I’m looking for too. Solid day 1 in the books for me. Looking forward to a couple more good ones!

Unless I'm looking at the wrong weather forecast, Sunday looks like a beaut! Fat skis coming out of storage.

The goggles that I recommended to Mbike are actually a brand called ABOM, that have a heated lens but I only wear them in Taos, Jackson, Vermont etc. I have Smith I/O that are old as shit that I wear at Blue and they are pretty good, but I fog them up like crazy when I'm getting after it.

I'm the sweatiest MFer in the world and the only thing that keeps my whole lens from immediately freezing when its cold and I'm skiing hard is those gogs that I recommended. Best $ i ever spent.

I don't think so, but if I do I'm gonna start my own crew called the Happy Boyz. Everyone in my crew will have to be smiley and jolly like me.

Wow, i just did google maps out of curiosity, and Roundtop is 1 hour 38 from my house and Blue is 1 hour 37.

I got gas at the Pioneer station right next to Frazer Lanes on Saturday and I was thinking of you fools. They have a pet wash at that gas station which is the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

If I remember correctly, there is a blocked off corridor at the 30th and Market corner of 30th Street Station. I used to walk through 30th street station from the Cira center to the Market-Frankford line every day, and I'd always wonder what was beyond the blockade.
