For sure, but I have to drink somewhere.

The chute at the end of this was so nice. Never had found my way in there before but was real happy I stumbled across it!

You're quite welcome, more coming soon!

Here's one of several Kachina videos:

Here's the crappiest of the videos, just figuring how to edit. Will post some more tomorrow.

Thanks! The only time I didn't ski right on to a lift was when they opened kachina.

Hard to say, but at some point I would like to spend at least 1 month in the winter and 1 in late summer/fall there.
-
Forever I wish, but we leave Saturday.

Perfect way to finish things off today. Deep powder and snowing all day filling everything back in. I think they reported 3-5 inches but it was knee deep in spots and if I had a beard it would be icy. Al's, Lorelei, Blitz, Reforma, repeated that a couple times. Lost my voice from screaming like a little kid.

After my break I hit some of the trees on the backside, then did Longhorn which is a mega leg burning 1500 vertical extremely steep run on the front side with no bail out once you're in the gate. Did a couple more runs just kind of poked around looking for untracked snow. My kids are in ski lessons and my daughter is really getting it after 2 days. I rode the bunny lift with each of my kids once to finish off the day. No kachina lapping pics but like I said video coming soon.

Sickest fucking day of my life quite possibly. Kachina opened at 9:30, first time since the 20 inches, it was unfucking believable. We lapped it 5 times then took a break. Found some nice chutes up there I'd never skied. I got some sick go pro for later. After the break I hit the trees and hunziker bowl to high noon which was still almost untracked. Just got done skiing castor/Pollux which is a 45 degree continuous 800 or so vert tree run. So beat but going back out for one last helping. Snowing again. pics tonight! Sickest fucking thing ever - especially on a pow day.

Day 2 started out nice and sunny with some fresh still to be found on the sides of everything that had been open yesterday plus they dropped the rope on the backside which opened up miles and miles of powder runs and really fun trees. Stayed back there pretty much all day. Kachina still closed they better open that shit soon. Strapped on the go pro for some vids which I'll post when I'm back at a computer. Snowing a little bit now in town hopefully we get a little refresher up high tonight! Mostly scenery pics early today. Was good and I just couldn't keep stopping to take out the camera you know how it is.

Had a New Belgium Ranger and a Left Hand Milk Stout at the lodge. Now La Cumbre Elevated and Red Ryeot.

Today was great. Was snowing all day but visibility was rough, and a bunch of the backside was closed due to avalanche control on kachina. Bombs were going off all day and I heard a slide that was so loud and lasted for so long it was spooky. Skied a powder lap on Al's which was sick, then did snakedance which is as long and steep as Al's but a natural half pipe. Hiked a bit to high line and did Juarez. Skied Lorelei trees and it was so deeeep in there. Meeting my buddies tomorrow so today was a solo day hence no action shots but lots of scenery. Lorelei trees Highline ridge Cornice I dropped Juarez

Just got to my mom's house, greeted with a 4 pack of elevated IPA (canned on 2/18 WTF!!!). Love my mom! Gonna hike in the Sandia's tomorrow morning then head up to the mountains. Serious HAFE happening at 5,000 feet.

Really good day. Some seriously deep snow in the trees. I got all tangled up in a bunch of small shrubbery at the bottom of disappearing act and had to take off my skis - the snow was above mid thigh when I sunk in. So glad I had people to follow around for a good part of the day. Probably wouldn't have ducked the rope on Magician if I wasn't following someone else. It was steep and real fresh, then cut over and did the black line. I think I skied pretty much everything I wanted to except the red line. Skied a whole bunch of stuff that I never would have found on my own. So many fun little pockets of soft snow and drops all over this mountain. My legs are still screaming! Can't wait to get back up there. Next time dude! I don't think any of them were on Worths. The one dude that gave me the A to Z scoop about the mountain last night and led me around today goes by Rusty Groomer on TGR, great guy.
