How was it up at the mountain today, especially in the morning before 12? I'm heading up tomorrow, not sure if I'm staying past lunch time or not. Depends on the crowds...

So is it anticipated to be really packed on Sunday? Of the 3 day weekend, which day should be the least crowded based on previous years?

Looks like the CB newsletter answered my question: Camelback snowmaking crews are getting ready to kick into high gear over the weekend when the cold weather returns.

So the forecast is calling for colder temps next week. Is the thinking that CB will start blowing snow again next week?

How does vert compare to Camelback? More vert overall? Steeper trails?

I've been reading a bunch of posts about how great Blue is. I've never been there. When I ski in PA, it's usually Camelback. I've been to JF once. When I went to Blue's site, according to the trail map, it looks like a pretty small mountain. Having never been there, I don't know what the attraction is Can you shed some light on the greatness of Blue? And how do you think it compares to Camelback? Thanks!

I actually emailed them a month or 2 ago about this. Also, on the conditions page, many of the trails had a hyperlink to a brief description and history of the trail that was kind of interesting to read. That's gone, too. Looks like they need to hire a new web designer...

Now that the snow making question has been answered, the next one in line to ponder is 'When is opening day?' Gotta give Camelback credit for starting to make snow!

Good question. When I wrote Craig a while ago to ask about the old ridecamelback board, he said he would be contributing to PASR...So Craig, what's the scoop on blowing snow and projected opening day?

According to Accuweather, temps will drop below 30 starting next Wednesday, so maybe they'll start blowing snow.

So does anyone know what CB's plans are to start blowing and open up for the year? Obviously weather dictates, but any projections?
