I disagree. IMO Elk has superior snow quality, better trail layout, and smaller crowds. I do like however that as pathetic as they are, Blue is open to the idea of glades. If Elk were to clear some brush and open up the trees, that'd be awesome. Also, when you're at the base area at Blue, does anyone else feel like you're at the trailer park of ski areas? I still want to get out to Blue Knob one day, it looks awesome for a PA ski area.

Went on Saturday with my wife, Ride Delawhere? , and Afroman7. It was a great day. Great snow, wall to wall coverage, and no liftlines. They could easily be open another couple weekends if they wanted to. We were still hitting the trees with copious amounts of coverage. We went through the bottom of the Park and poached Lehigh a few times. Plenty of crusty pow down there. All in all it was a great end of the season. Glad to see my wife progress to being comfortable on blues now. Afroman7 was shredding the gnar pretty hard as well. I'm sure RideDelaware will be posting a fancy photo TR eventually. I think I saw CaptDave because I saw another guy riding a Venture board and they're pretty uncommon.

'twas a good empty day at elk. Snow was super fast hardpack but very edgeable. It may have been my last day of the season. I still have a 2 for 1 voucher for JF I haven't used yet so I may make one more trip up next weekend if. I really would like to get in a shorts and t shirt day if it warms up. I love spring snow. Maybe I'll go to CB for alien day or something.

I am planning on heading up there tomorrow.....black jacket , white pants, neon yellow goggles. Should be my last elk day for the season.

Even the blue baumer had some grip without any new snow in a while. I gotta say the new glades are actually pretty fun. Oh and I did get whistled at by ski patrol thrice on Burma. No hot pursuit tho, I was hoping for it though I think I could outrun them. Maybe duck into one of the new glades and try to lose em.

How much rain and ice did you guys get up there today. Is it gonna be shitty at blue? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to head to elk if they got any snow rather than rain. Anybody have any weather info for me? Thanks

Just reviewed the footage....I'm retarded and the cam was pointed too far down most of the time. I'll have to give it another shot in the 'dacks next weekend. I should have it figured out by then. Sorry to disappoint

Just back from a night session at camelwhack. Midway through the evening my weather channel app was reading 1F pretty damn cold. Snow was nice not too scraped off. Haven't been out at night in a while. Went with my wife, sister in law and a big group of friends. Tried out my new contour helmet cam for the first time. I haven't uploaded it to the computer yet to see how it turned out. All in all I was impressed with camelback. They didn't close the lifts because it was too cold or anything.... Kind of surprising. Looking forward to hitting Whiteface and Gore next weekend. I'll have a TR for that. If anything interesting came from the helmet cam I'll post it.

If you have a powder board I would think you would want to bring it for a forecasted storm, but maybe I'm just stupid.
