  1. Yeah I wasn't really expecting anything.... I'm holding out for the 'dacks next weekend.
  2. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it up to the pokes until Saturday.....hopefully there'll be a little bit of leftovers for me
  3. I was there this AM as well. Haven't been to blue in almost 2 years. I'd heard the stories about the red coat speed patrol, but didn't realize how ridiculous it actually was. I did my last run down paradise and bombed it. There were patrollers at every corner whistling at me, but none of them tried to run me down. Lines were ridiculous when I left at 1130. I may be back next weekend, then it's whiteface and gore the following weekend. I'm stoked
  4. Awesome! Gore's a great mountain
  5. It's a fun place. It gets a bad rap for being flat, but it's got a good amount of vert and some good trees. I'm going there at the end of January as a side trip while going to Whiteface. Gore is a lot like Elk being in the middle of nowhere and not being busy. It's one of my favorite mountains. Twister is a great trail.
  6. Not sure if that was sarcasm or not but you can't deny the hype over there.
  7. I second that statement. I was there the day it hit 65.... That night the entire place was a skating rink..... I slid out on the Delaware and went sliding on my ass for 100+ yards.
  8. I love the accuweather forums..... So much hype. Earlier there were people predicting 2" of precip with 15-18:1 ratios for the balto/Philly sector. I don't think we can count on 30-36" of snow out of this lol.
  9. haha
  10. I'm just glad they're not any bigger. Once you hit 16 it really is impossible to find shoes. 15 is only semi impossible.
  11. 6'4" I ride a really wide board. I think the waist is 28.5cm or so. I actually don't get toe drag anymore. My boots have the Burton footprint reduction which seems to help a bit. I also ride with a substantially positive angle on my stance, like +20/+9. It's not too bad
  12. I saw a pair of size 15 Burton Motos on there the other day for $40, it was pretty tempting but I just got a new pair of boots.
  13. Excellent TR!
  14. Eating lunch still no liftline. Maybe a 5 chair wait. There's 11 trails but essentially 4 real ways down the mountain. No quad today. The snows great only the occasional death cookie. Plenty of snows been made they should be opening a few more trails soon.
  15. So far so good.... Great snow..... No quad as of yet..... 6 runs deep...... No one here......
  16. I'll be hitting up Elk tomorrow with Ride Delaware and Afroman7. Hoping they have the quad open. I don't see why they wouldn't. Hopefully they'll surprise me with an extra trail or two. Looking forward to skiing in Vermont without the drive at elk mountain. Sure beats touching the sky at blue with the blue crew, humpin the camel at cb, or shredding the speed bump that is big boulder.

    Elk's Opening

I'm heading up for the day Saturday. I'd be stoked if they add a few more trails. I don't know what their typical opening priorities are. When do they normally open Delaware?
  18. Nice TR let's see some shots of afroman7 shredding the gnar and getting mad air off cliffs and shit. Does he still wear a helmet even though he has the fro to cushion his fall?
  19. It was the first place I ever snowboarded back when I was about 14. I'd be interested to go back.
  20. I think they can do it....lows wednesday thursday friday are 26, 24, 23
  21. It's amazing how you've degenerated from computer nerd in high school to a computer illiterate old man. You should sign up for some lessons at a senior center or something. Lol
  22. Snow here in Warminster too
  23. Standard Warranty is 25 years. A typical, well built system will last 40-50 years
  24. Not really. I had a salesman who seemed to have trouble with it for a while, but I'd say I do pretty well at it. It's a pretty easy sell really. All I have to do is convince someone to give me $40-60k and in return they never have to pay for their electricity again and they can actually even make a few grand in profit off of it depending on how much power they use. A typical system makes back the initial investment in 5-7 years, then it's just gravy. In 25 years, someone could easily make back their investment, then make an additional $100k. Commercial sales is even easier. I can put solar panels on any business with a roof large enough to accommodate about 450 panels without it costing them a penny. They benefit from the electric savings and my financing company gets all of the government incentives. It's a win win.
