I can bring myself to watch almost any sport on TV. But I can't even watch golf in person. Hit the ball, get in the cart, chase the ball. Hit the ball, get in the cart, chase the ball. Skiing is a completely different matter. I don't have a clue about the racers because I don't follow it closely enough, but if I happen to flip past it and it's on, I can sit and watch for hours and hours.

Of course they don't have any intention of opening any time soon. Skimom's right... it's all about the plastic flamingos.

But can you tell me that that would be your choice in lyrics? I find that particularly hard to believe.

It's bad whatever you call it. But I'd venture to say anyone who calls themselves a freestyle rapper, would shoot you for that.

Holy bad poetry. But regardless, it's a wall ride. And they've definitely been checking up on us here. No one person could possibly be cheesy enough to come up with that as well as what we've already been tossing around that it might be.

It's a wall.... I don't even have to look at the pictures. Why else would they use a cheesy phrase like "don't go climbing walls trying to figure it out." ???? Answer... even CB is not that cheesy... it was some PR guys way of saying this is what it is, while his boss was looking over his shoulder telling him not to tell us yet.

I'm feeling you on that one... mine's the following day... and I'm just praying it's cold enough to be out on the slopes... that would be one heck of a birthday present to myself.

I should be offended that I was your second thought, but I won't lie, my first thought was get this car out of this mess so I can get out on the slopes... I vote for partially clearing the roads... it'll stop the people who are afraid to be out there, but it won't stop us.

I'm not going to pretend that the stuff isn't intmidating... as a relatively new skier, I'm not only not ready to be in the park, but pretty terrified of what I could do to myself if I did have that random lapse in judgement. All I'm saying is that you're going to get your 5-10th graders who are there with Mom and Dad who think it's cool, regardless of the fact that the stuff looks scary as hell to them. I was a camp counselor for those age groups, and those kids were by far the dumbest I've ever seen. They'd look at something, point out that it was scary as hell and they couldn't do it, and then do it anyway. I'm all for the park pass idea because at least some parents are going to stop their kids from getting one because they don't know what they're doing.

Capt'n, I mean it... if shawnee isn't open that weekend, I'll drive to Hunter... I'll get up at 430 on my birthday to drive... but we are skiing that day.

I think you underestimate the stupidity of children. Especially if we're running with the idea that a portion of the kids in the park are there because their parents are having a drink, in the condo, or told them to stay close. Mom and Dad are not actively on the mountain, and that brings out the highest form of stupidity in these kids.

45 minutes which direction... and we better get snow... i'm itching for this season so badly i think i'm driving everyone i know a lot crazy.

I'm relatively new to the sport, I've only been skiing for like a season, but I've always been curious about the people that get out there and let their kids go down things like cliffy. I was taking a run down the nile mile, and I watched some guy con his like five year old into taking cliffy. I then watched the kid tumble down it... I'm pretty convinced that people think that paying to get on the mountain entitles them to hurt themselves and the rest of us.

Seaside. Well actually on the mainland and two towns south, but they went to my high school, so it's close enough

C'mon.. hope for the first of December. I have every intention of skiing on my birthday (the day following thanksgiving)... I better be able to get from the Jersey shore, into the mountains before they run out.

One more high speed quad could not hurt at all. I just doubt CB will go through with it. I don't really want to be looking at one more water ride while I'm getting on the ski lift though. I'm definitely there to ski. And let's face it, most people who are there on holiday weekends aren't checking this, or the ridecb.com. They're still not going to know about the lift.

I was glancing around the message board on the camelback site, and noticed someone had asked a particularly good question, and gotten no answer. The new slide they're putting in for Camelbeach, where is it going? Is it going to cut out ski trails this winter? Looking around, I can't figure out where they're going to put the stupid thing.

Why exactly do you need a photographer? I'm just not sure I understand the benefit of having both a videographer (or three) as well as a photographer. Perhaps I'm just completely naieve when it comes to this stuff.
