  1. I hear you on the more space thing Nick. However, if you're using the factory rack on the Subaru you might have some space issues width wise with the rocket box and other attachments. This was one of the bonuses of me settling with the space booster. I can fit a bike rack and the box on the factory crossbars just fine, and might even be able to squeeze two on there with the box too if I get creative. If you're using Thule/Yakima crossbars you should be fine cuz you get a ton more room with these, but just something the keep in mind. Also, boxes are usually a little more plentiful in the New England area, and my parents live up by Worcestor, MA. As of now I'm planning on trying to visit them right after New Years, so if you see anything up there let me know and I could have a look at it for you and possibly bring it back.
  2. Thanks Steve! You too man, and everyone else out there. (Definitely fell asleep in church tonight...)
  3. You know too much...
  4. I found one on Craigslist almost brand new for under $200. Just keep your eye out. I originally wanted a rocket box but ended up with a space booster and have had more than ample room so far for my needs this season.
  5. Cole you must be so proud!. I remember being at Boulder early season this year and seeing you there with Ty, and as a director and coach that really stuck into my mind. If I remember correctly she got hit by someone and was pretty shaken up, but you kept her out there. I saw you giving her the ole pep talk, and I remember thinking about coming over and saying hello and asking what was wrong. However, sometimes it just needs to be one on one, and in that situation you were the best coach for the job, and always will be. You're the one that got her to this point, taking her out to different hills, and giving her the advice she needed to become such a great skier. No matter how she ends up being involved with skiing, she'll always remember (maybe not through the teenage years, but you've been there) how her dad took her skiing in Pennsylvania in November, how he kept her skiing after the accidents, and how proud you are of her. With the knowledge that you have about skiing, it is so good to see you step back and let her move out into another group on her own. As the years go by, she'll no doubt trust your advice, even if she doesn't seem to listen to it. As a coach, I can't wait to hear how she progresses.
  6. I gotta do the family thing anyway. I'm over it for a day. Getting drunk at a great restaurant with my mom was fun tonight, and hanging out at the girlfriends will be fun tomorrow night. I'll be killed by multiple people if I go riding.
  7. Well I think there is some difference between what people can and can't do medically between the two countries. Like all of us saw you got hurt in Whistler, but none of us filled out any paperwork or witness reports like we would have had to do at most places in the U.S. Also, I think it depends on the level of training you have and that kinda thing as well. Not all of the patrollers at your accident in Whistler were qualified to give you drugs if I remember correctly.
  8. We talked about this a lot when you got bucked in Whistler. They are allowed to give you drugs on-site up there in Canada ehh.
  9. Wow. Tonight was awesome. Aside from the fact that I was having a lot of trouble with speed which made things a little sketch, that first jump was awesome. Also loved ridin' the 60foot down flat down again, and the setup on that is great. Merry Widow park is also kinda fun. Didn't really dig the new setup of freedom park though, its just too crowded. Tryin' to get up there Saturday or Sunday this weekend again.
  10. You didn't let us drive the woodkit wagoneer off a cliff and film it, but you can make up for it with this one!!!!! You'll definitely get a mention in the credits of whatever edit it makes it into. Let me know... Do I have anyone to second this?
  11. He is selling a cannon!?!?!?!?! DIBS!!!!! I'm tryin to put some holes in things for real cousin!
  12. Just a suggestion for you on those skis if you get zero offers or anything, take them to a shop and see if they'll trade or give you credit towards something different if that is what you're looking for. If you're looking for straight up cash money you might find better luck with a little lower price on that particular model.
  13. ehhh

doubt it... callin' the kettle black... Things were fun today, especially in some of the spots it had warmed up. Top of Main was nice, fresh snow in Come Around, Burma Road open, Lazy was alright, and the little birds in the lodge say Paradise opening at some point tomorrow. Had the new skis out all morning and had some fun getting used to something with edges and no twin tip.
  15. I've found that Vermont lodging is usually very cheap right after New Years. Most of the families go back to work or school around the 2nd or 3rd, so hotels love to keep the rooms booked for another couple days. I've done some calling around to go up like the 2nd-4th and have found rates between $60-$80 a night.
  16. Seems like kind of a far drive to go 30 minutes to and from your lodging. Oh well... Got a hot tub?
  17. Give me a call. I'll be in the area and I'll be bored. I've got nothing to do for the next month. I'm riding at some point, just not sure when. I can accomodate.

    New Board.

Haha. Good to have you back around.
  19. Auction for these ends in a few hours. Get your bids in now!
  20. Ya I skied Kryptons all last year and really liked them, even with the standard liner. I need some work done on the FTs, like footbeds and we'll see what else, but I think they'll turn out pretty comfy. One thing I don't like is that the construction of the Full Tilts seems quite cheap. Plastic buckles, philips head screws that aren't countersunk holding the buckles on, etc... I was telling someone that they seem like a Dodge Viper; fast, expensive, and high performance, but full of cheap plastic. Being marketed towards the freeride/expert crew, its a little weird to pick them up and see these things. However, it does make them amazingly lightweight. It barely feels like you're wearing boots.
  21. So I started the day off by reseting my alarm to 7:45 instead of 6:45 after I woke up and heard the sleet hammering hard on the windows. I'm not one for 7:30a.m. openings anyway, sooo east coast... Anyway, roads were ice rinks in the residential areas, but fine on the main roads that were treated. Got up there and waited around to see who would show up and ended up heading out on the hill around 9:45. Lots of fun with a sugary surface, good fun for surfy style slashes and playing aroud on the banks. They were blowing all day till it started raining around 1pm. People said the bumps were great but unfortunately I was skiing the back bowls of Lazy and didn't make it to the main face of Main Street. I was having so much fun I just stayed out with a few kids while it rained and did a few laps in the park after exchanging skis. Park crew was out and they were doing a great job with the features given the conditions. Saw them out two times and they kept things prime. Came in soaked, stoked, and glad to grab a cold one. They were also pushing Burma out. Opening tomorrow or midweek?
  22. Who knows, maybe that could be the new yardsale phrase? "I went down hard and my shit ejaculated all over the place!" It would certainly get some looks in the liftline!
  23. Ya I couldn't believe the amount of forward lean when I put them on today. There are different shims you can put on the bottom of the cuff similar to the Dalbellos, but right out of the box these boots have more forward lean than almost anything I've ever skied. I guess that is part of the reason people like them so much. I skied them directly out of the box today and they feel like they are gonna ski awesome one I mold them, get a footbed in them, and crank them down.
  24. Sittin' here with my new boots on. Stoked to finally get them in the mail this week. I'm probably trying them out tomorrow up at Blue to see how they ride. They are basically an updated version of the Raichle Flexon design that has become a cult favorite among serious skiers. I've heard so much about the Raichle Flexon design growing up and I'm pretty excited to see what the hype is all about. These also have the Intuition liners that are by far the best in the biz. I used these liners for two seasons and missed them a bunch while in Dalbellos regular liner last year. Can't wait to ski tomorrow!
