Werd. The things that I have heard about Mountain Creek from passholders about the mountain's commitment to opening terrain and other things have been entirely negative. Certainly a far cry from Bear Creek, which regularly gets props from locals and visitors, and although they have had a bit of a rough string with PASR's lately, they certainly know their stuff and will get things back on track if they haven't already.

Roaaddddd tripppppppp!!!!

The two latest posts that noted an issue with Bear have been well written posts from adults who saw an issue and were concerned enough to write about it. Is this what you're asking to stop? Its unfortunate that there have been cases that do seem like "whining," and those are certainly not helping more legitimate concerns.

It is the 16th of February... There is not much time left in the Pennsylvania ski season. We are less than a month away from most of the "spring" type festivals or events at our local mountains as they near closing.

I'm plannin on taking a trip out there in March at some point.

As a Freeride coach and a member of a park crew, I hate to criticize parks too much because I know how much work goes into features, how hard they are to build/maintain, and how much it sucks to get negative feedback when you've busted your ass trying to make something good. That being said, Bear Creeks pipe should not have been the site of a competition tonight, let alone open for riding. I think its a total bummer that Bear does such a great job getting sponsors, publicizing their competitions, creating a great vibe, and then holds them on terrain like we saw tonight. It has been cold long enough now to have a great pipe, and to cut it on the day of the comp and then let the public ride it all day just doesn't seem to bode well for keeping comp entrants stoked and people coming back. I want to see Bear do well because I've loved riding there in the past, which is why I'm so bummed tonight and felt like I had to say somethin'. Anyone else?

Have you EVER ridden anywhere else besides Bear Creek!?!?!?!?!!!!!

Need every post have a sarcasm disclaimer?! I guess the sad reality has become yes... -
Nah its a real good point and hopefully people will see it if it is new to them. I'm just getting into photography and have been learning so much through websites and have read about cases like this on plenty of them where someone ended up getting the shit end of the stick when their photo was used for some big advertisement but they ended up signing it away because at the time they thought a free board sounded like more than ample compensation, but then saw how much companies pay for ads of that size.

Blue SkierX - Old Men Ski = Justin Thomas Girls Ski = Kate Wehr I forget the rest.

I've never seen trolling/baiting/whatever on this site! Silly First Grade....

Ya you can go back and forth on this for sure. Would one lose all the rights to photos taken, would there be compensation if they went somewhere beyond Buckmans site, etc.... Ski brings up some very good points. However, I think there are plenty of people like myself who treat photography as just a hobby (ya sure it would be nice if we could all be the super talented hobbyist photog whose photos were discovered by someone at Microsoft and became the Vista backgrounds), and would love to just be a part of the scene for the day. Sure maybe we are missing out on potential earnings, but to some people, even those who have the knowledge to gain those earnings, that might not be what they're into it for. Just don't screw anybody over and use their shots for big advertising campaigns or banners on the side of your store or magazine/paper/anything ads or posters and you should be fine. Thanks for the props Papa, but I gotta be at Blue workin'.

I in no way condone or support some of Miller's pre-race habits, but to be fair to him the new restrictions/guidelines were not all due to his actions. I do think that his actions certainly did bring a heightened level of media/competitor/governing body attention to the actions of other team members, but again I don't think that it is ALL his fault. I saw a member of the freestyle team break his best friends nose after they got in a fight in the street outside of my hotel, I saw some of the women team members dancing on the tables and was at the ski team bar the night of the incident involving those ladies, and saw numerous other incidents involving athletes, US especially, that went a little above and beyond what most people expect the conduct of athletes to be, even during such a party heavy event as the Olympics. Some people may consider it a surprise that the snowboarders were WAAAY more mature/respectful/well behaved that almost all of the skiers.

Truth. I'll take their winch cat at Blue.

Bare Creek sucks...period. Tubing sales at 6:30 bulls**t.

No, what is sad to me is the naivety of people like you who can't empathize with someone else's issues about any other facet of the mountain besides the park. Notice the tone from some members here lately who are "sick of the whining" from kids/adults who are given more every season, yet still complain as though they are still at square one. I don't know what position you're in to decide if Bob's issue is "dealt with." I think Bob or Mark are the ones that can follow up there. -
Don't forget Palmer too!

Pic of topsheet. Pricing from what I saw this year was on par with other skis of their genre. 500ish. They had a pair at Army/Navy, not sure if they are still there. Call and ask and go check em out. You're wack. Do you even ski anymore?

You know what though man? I think I might be mistaken, cuz I'm pretty sure in this video "Baby Jamz" from like 10 years ago, Shaun White and Tanner Hall did a skier boarder joint expo vid, and I'm almost positive they had a channel gap built at a small hill outside of Tallahassee, Florida that used to be real hot on the park scene... Does anyone else remember this? -

You're wrong. Blue slopestyle like 3 years ago, and I'm pretty sure that was the first channel gap ever made at a ski area in the world. -
I'll kill you personally if you mess up that halfpipe Doug.

Ehh whatever. I have my opinion on this but for now will hold off on it to a more sober time.

It was for a few people that I saw this weekend. Why people think they can be conservative with speed on a hit like that perplexes me...
