Some of the features up already. Probably goin to shoot some more photos tonight and try to get a shot of every feature in the park.

Yeahhhhhhhh. With a camera that nice the stuff you shot in the crappy light we've had lately should be spot on. I've had trouble shootin with my new Dslr cuz I still don't know my way around it. Gotta learn that shizzzz.

Any ski that has rivets in the back always throws the snow wider, which is a huge pain to follow. The Big Troubles and Seths both throw up a pretty large amount. Any big mountain twin makes a pretty huge spray, because the tails are really large to facilitate landing switch in deep snow.

Ya I feel that. I just strongly disagreed with the way you worded your post. I used to be real into editing and made a few but have since lost them. I had a Mt. Baker edit that was on a computer at my high school that I did burn and my teacher deleted every I had. Getting back into it this year though, but definitely doin' more photography now. Here are some untouched shots from Blue today. I like to avoid post processing, aside from cropping, if I can. Please tear em apart. I'm looking for all the feedback I can get. edit: if those photos won't enlarge, my photobucket url is http://s139.photobucket.com/albums/q310/fr...untain%20Shots/

You shouldn't have... because this isn't a good analogy. Everyone can watch a video, thus has experienced the video, and can form an opinion about the video. So its not really at all like trying to critique something you have no idea about. and you quoted Jeff, who I thought had some good advice for Nick in helping him get more creative shots, and recently posted pics from his Telluride trip. I think pretty much everyone who has posted in this thread, or most of the others on this board having to do with video or photography, has some experience. Some member's advice might be more helpful than others, but they're all good in helping us to dial in our techniques as guys like Nick, Wezlo, myself, and others get more into shooting.

Awesome. Just like I remember it.

Oh nice. When did you pick that up? I just read Pop. Photography's review of it and they liked it a lot for an entry level DSLR. I just picked up a D70 and am still finding my way around with it.

love it when patrollers put up signs right on the inrun to rails/hits... c'mon now!

Nice pic man! What were you shooting with? Did you use a Sepia effect on this shot??? Looks like the Sno crew had a little fun with that feature this weekend. Its too bad the rider isn't looking back and doin something crazy like everyone else is. Also you could be just a few steps closer. On a shot like this I don't think it would be a problem to fill the frame with the action at all. Maybe try some creative cropping? I think that woulda nailed the shot, but it still looks great.

Ya but I'll let it slide for right now. Any other personal attacks and its ban time.

Nah no more. We'll all post our edits and be assholes to each other... or wait!!! Better yet, we can all post our edits and give each other respectful constructive critisicism. I vote the latter.

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Knew it. That only took like 20 minutes. If you're gonna give it, grow a sac and learn how to take it too. Taste your own meds. Et cetera et cetera... Consider us even. It was a fine edit. Its awesome that you're passionate enough about filming to make that kind of investment on a sweet piece of gear like your camera. Hopefully Sno goes off like Boulder has this year and you guys have a great season.
-
Then you're starting out under the table. I don't. Good cuz you didn't.

That edit sucks man. The riders were coming from all sorts of crazy angles onto features and barely cleaning half of them, not to mention a total lack of style. If you need some help with your camera I might be able to show you some good websites. Better yet, I can teach you how to sell your camera on ebay and make as much of your money back on what obviously was a poor investment on your part...

Sounds like I should get on that wax special that is being offered to our members while it lasts... I think I might bring 5 bux and start getting to know the course on Thursday.
-
Ya I'm f*$ed on twins. Sounds like I need to start gettin' used to some real skis if I'm gonna have a chance in hell.

He prolly still skis better than you without a quiver of Atomicraps or whatever it is you ride.

Single worst post of the year in terms of things I want to hear. Who the F*&% thinks of that up at Blue?!? Oh people are poaching Sidewinder, lets fuck up the whole trail and ruin their fun at the expense of those who will be riding the park for the remainder of the season. Who do I blame? Rodeo Steve... If what Tretiak says (which I'm taking with a grain of salt anyway) is true and there really was a decision to blow with even MORE water than they already do, then I'm sooooo glad that you got your sick knee deep freshies so that I can land on cement until March. Thats alright though man, you're sooooo cool for shredding a closed trail and posting about it on PASR. Ugh, no offense and don't take that too hard, I'm just pissed.
-
Thats how the Whistler Peak chair used to be in the early 90's. That shiz was SCARY!!! I know a few people who still wont ride it cuz they were so scared of the old one.
-
Not if they have it on Raceway, due to the fact that Nastar runs on Sunday nights and the racers use that trail. Right now it looks like its going to be on Raceway, just based on the fact that Lower Sidewinder has no snow. For the past 2 years or so Lower Sidewinder has been setup as a bordercross trail, but it has never been anything super special. Still remains to be seen what will be done with it this year.

I saw every single one of those kids ride the trail, and it was no where near knee deep. Maybe at random spots where the snow was lighter you sank a little more, but all I saw people leaving were the tracks of their boards that weren't even breaking the surface. Keep poachin' trails and postin' about it and they'll catch up with ya sooner or later. I've talked to a few patrollers who lurk about on here. Stever, search the park and pipe/all the mountain forums. There are enough park pass discussions/debates to keep you occupied for hours, as well as reasons why local mountains have/have not instituted them this season. oh, and PS, the kid broke his neck in what is to remain all season as the "Intro" park.
-
Nah that was me. Found on the SAA or Ski Area Association website. I don't think thats the right acronym or name but if you search it the right one will pop up.
-
Ya thats what the rumor mill has been spinnin' today. Word on the street is that a snowboard instructor rushed over after the kid bombed and the kids friend thought the instructor had something to do with the kid falling and thus broke the instructor's nose. Disclaimer. This is Blue Mountain hearsay, it should be treated as such.

Challenge is still bushwack city bro??? Next weekend should be MUCH better. Still kinda crowded out there on them there slopes today. Any forecasts we should know about?
