Ya I hear that a lot from people who can't even ski the rest of the mountain... Haha just playin' man. What don't you like about the park? Where you there at all last year? Things are moving in a really good direction. Thats the best name I've heard for it yet. I know of a kid or two who got buck bucked for the season on that hit.

Pretty sure I overheard the guest services lady say that BB will be closed on Xmas eve last night.

The sushi place is real good if you're into that. There is a great pizza place on the left as you're going towards Killington on the Access road that I think is in the same building as Darkside Boardshop. I always just got out to eat and chill at the pool, watch some TV, then crash so I can get up early the next morning.

I think I'm gonna take the highest bidder this time. Maybe someone who doesn't smell as bad and you and Kevin.

That signs in the wrong place man. Everyone comes up through that stupid tunnel now since that is where the validation office is. The sign is over by the ski school area. The only time I noticed it was when I was in the lodge and the thing was 30 feet away. All I could read was the "Big Boulder Park" that they seem to be tagging all over the place. Ya I agree about the jumps and lack of flow. They were still pretty nice and it was good to see something like that this early in the season with how tough a time all the mountains are having conditions wise.

When I did Nastar out in Park City the course was super easy, not steep and all, and probably dropped less vert than Raceway at Blue. Therefore Park City must have a really crappy race program, and I would never go there if I wanted to make race-like turns. (Heavy sarcasm) Doug you're about the least qualified person to call out someone else for posting off topic in a thread.

You'd like Whistler Kitten. There's lots to do there if you're tired of the skiing.

Where do they setup their course? Or is this their first year...

Nice, say hey next time. So I just wanted to note that the the 4 of us (me, Gurp, Insomniac, and Justo) found it pretty interesting how more and more stuff around the mountain just says "Big Boulder Park." Gurp kinda mentioned that they wanna go 100% park (hope thats OK that I post that), and I had heard rumors but didn't really listen that much with all the other stuff that goes on. They took the same template they use to paint the rails and tagged the walls of the bar area with the "Big Boulder Park" logo, and there are signs up that say "any trail may have features." I'm all for it. It's kinda nice for BBJF that they have a mountain they can devote to park and a mountain they can devote to lessons, rentals, vacationers, recreational skiers, racers, etc... I personally prefer skiing a mountain that has both park and normal runs that I can rip, but I think it would be really cool to have a mountain that is park only in the area to push the other mountains to develop their parks more. Of course there is a flipside to this, but it should be fun to see what happens. Park crew, you guys are doin a great job with things. Gives us at Blue somethin' to keep up with. Hopefully Bear, Blue, and BB will all get some cold temps so we can all start makin' some park goodness.

Yup, and fallin' all over the place. Off night and a half. Should be gettin' new skis I can finally get used to again real soon, gonna try out some Invaders.

Montgomeryville Meltdown Rail Jam (presented by Burton)

Papa, c'mon man. Get off Big Boulders/PL's piece for two seconds. What makes you think no one contacted Big Boulder? They have already publicized that Camelback is sponsoring it, obviously someone put work in and felt that Camelback would be a good resort sponsor. I do agree that 125 seems a little ambitious for a cap. Thats 2 riders every 60 seconds if you give everyone 1 run. People are getting pretty frustrated that at jams they tend to get like 1 or 2 runs to practice on the setup. -

Nice! Its good to see you guys got this thing goin. I was talking to the boardshop manager at the Montgomeryville store for a while about this a month or so back. Good luck with everything! -
I found some Armadas to use for a little while. Gonna mount em up tomorrow. Looks like I'm gonna try to ride some Line Invaders. Talked the the rep for a while today and am waiting on a call back from him.

Free would be ideal. In reality though like 200-300 bux for something brand new w/ out bindings.

I'm embarrassed that is has become my turn.

Ya I usually know a good thing when I see it. I bought a pair back when I couldn't afford two pairs of skis, well now I'm kinda back to that point but anway, I never got to ski them. They are now the rental shop twin tips at Blue... I'd love to try yours out at some point Papa. I just think for park only I want something "noodlyer"...

The six pack can slingshot you off pretty quick if you don't wait for it to slow down. Should be fun to watch on the busy days. That thing will be stopping plenty.

Hmmm.... I know you've treated em well. I'm looking for something a little more park oriented, ie is buttery and such. I'm gonna think about it and I'll definitely let you know. Thanks for the offer Papa!

Papa said SASE him for some stickers. I dunno if that offer still stands...

I just picked up a Salomon Scout. I haven't ridden a whole lot in the past couple seasons, so I haven't jibbed, but I've heard pretty good things about the ride of this board so I decided to grab one. The price wasn't bad either. Most of the guys I've talked to who have ridden one say that for how soft it is it rides surprisingly well all mountain. I talked to one kid who said that he thinks its a little too soft for his taste, but thats a personal pref. thing in my mind. I'll let you know how it is after this weekend.
