Ya Doug I might take you up on those. Just bring them down to the bikeshop so I can throw the torch on em and make them a twin tip.

Ya I sold the Dumonts, and I actually just got a snowboard. I felt like the Dumonts might be just a little bit too long. Kind of ironic how a brand new snowboard gets here the day I discover that my skis are pretty much blown up.

Thanks Dan, I'll keep that in mind. It just sucks that this happened 3 days before the freeride program starts. Haha, thats what I get I guess.

So I was tryin to milk my Trouble Makers for another month or two, I was originally going to sell them, then upon closer inspection found that one of the edges was cracked so didn't wanna be an ass and pass on that problem. They started to delam a little bit at that crack, so I spent some time with some epoxy and and tried to make a pretty good repair. However, the damage was already done... I skied them over the weekend, then left them in my locker overnight like a dumbass and it looks like they froze and pretty much self destructed. I took my bindings off today, and I can see so far into the core that I can see my screw holes and almost to the other side of the ski. Needless to say I don't think I'll ride these anymore. I'm looking for something from 165-172ish in length. Gotta be a twin tip. I need something as soon as possible since I need them for my job. Let me know if you guys find any deals on anything. I'm callin all of my contacts trying to get something, but the more eyes that are lookin the better. Thanks for anything you can do! P.S. If anyone finds something I end up buying there is a DNA outerwear shirt comin' their way...

No worries. If you wanna sell em alone hit me up and I'll make you an offer.

I'll be lookin into material in the next couple days. I'll probably send you a rough sketch of what I'm thinkin with approximate dimensions and such.

Are the Axial 120s the turntable heel or the new variety? If you end up sellin the skis alone I'd likely take those off your hands for you if they are the turntable heel.

I don't know but with the ratings he's received around here as a source on potential weather I'd say its fairly safe to assume he should take the hint and never pursue meteorology.

I think I'll be up tonight.

I'm lookin for an intro type box that is basically flat and has a few spikes on the bottom so that I can just throw it on the snow and have kids session it. Interested in trying to make something like this?

Mid way.

Real good condition. They were bought from a buddy of mines shop out west. They went out on demo a few times, and then my bro bought them off of him. Bases are in great condition and so ar the edges. They could use a good wax and tune, but I don't have the tools to do it right now.

Wow we're havin a great early season so far. Pray for colder weather!
-
Haha excellent. Let the bidding begin!

Get the right equipment for the job man... There is a reason that park/jib skis and bindings are made the way they are.

Ya both pairs are still around. Taking offers.

Start writing gear reviews! Wax included. I made one today for a new helmet and pair of goggles I bought. I don't think anyone replied to it or if anyone read it, but its there in case someone wants to search in the future. Lets start building a database of great gear reviews. Rate on 5 star scale, and list pros and cons of the product. I think this would be cool to get goin.

Switchback takes a good amount too, and they usually focus on other trails. What about Paradise? Thats a real long trail, and I would argue that Sidewinder takes the most snow to open in order to be built correctly.

Third times a charm! Added Dynastar for ya and put Atomic in the correct spot... Cheers! note: Atomic was moved to last place before it took Jeff <30 seconds to move it...

Last night I got to try out the Smith Fuse goggles and Smith Holt helmet that I picked up in the off season. The Holt helmet feels great! I was a little worried that it didn't feel warm enough when I put it on, and was a little worried in the parking lot last night, but once I buckled up it was just as warm as my Giro Fuse that I retired. The strap and ear pads have plenty of padding, and stayed snug all night. The design of the strap will be quite familiar to skaters and bikers, as it uses the same style of adjustment that those sports helmets do. The helmet breathes quite nicely, I didn't get moppy at all last night. We'll see how it does on warmer days in the spring. My goggles stayed in place all night, even though I didn't have them strapped in. The goggle keeper on the back is not like the loop that Giro uses, but more like a money clip, making it hard to get the buckle under that many goggle manufacturers have started putting on the strap. I think I'm just going to take the clip off, as my goggles that I'll likely be wearing the most have a silicone backed strap. As a fit comparison, my Giro Fuse in medium is a little too big, and Giro's smalls are a bit too small. The Smith in small fit me just right, leading me to suggest that if you are between sizes in a Giro look at your options in Smith lids. So far I give the helmet 4 stars out of 5. It loses a star because it doesnt have vents like the Giro Fuse that can be opened and closed on the fly. You have to take out the liner and then take out plugs, a minor inconvenience and the plugs are easily lost, so it loses a star. Couldn't find pic of helmet. I'll take one later. note: Shown is the Blue Mirror lens, which I also have but have not tried. The Smith Fuse goggles... These guys did pretty well. I ran them with the Sensor Mirror lens, which is Smith's high-end night and cloudy day/snow lens. I really liked the lens, and the goggle didn't fog up all night even when hiking the rails for a while. My buddy has the same pair and he complained of fogging but after he took his bandana out from under the goggles did not have that problem again. The fit is where this goggle crashed and burned for me. I tried out a pair last year and they felt pretty good, but I didn't get to ski with them on a cold night. I was planning on using this pair as my night goggle since I like the lens so much, but don't know if I will anymore because the frame does not fit my face that well. Overall they performed great, but there are much better offerings for me in terms of fit. Smith marketed them to me as a small/medium fit, but I would recommend them for someone with a medium to large face. They would get 4 stars if they fit perfectly, because the optics were great and had no issues with fogging, but for now they sit at 2 and a half stars. I think I'm going to sell them in favor of something that fits better. Another goggle review coming soon! Oakley Crowbars with Black Iridium Lens...
