    New Skis Please

Nordica's Hot Rod series are one of the better midfat all mountain boards out there. I like the Mod's if your an intermediate to advanced skied, and the Top Fuels if you're really rippin hard on them. I haven't been on this years, but last years just blew everything else I skied by K2, Volkl, etc.. away.
  7. Opening day parks!!! Everyone!??!?! Remember when there used to be nothing until like January???
  8. You have a ton of choices. Right now we are on the cusp of everything switching to HD or Digital, which would cost you upwards of 2000 for brand new equipment, or you could go extremely basic and run Hi8 which would set you back like 200 for brand new stuff. If you're just getting into video I'd suggest something around the 3-700 dollar price range, and definitely suggest the miniDV tape format. I'm most likely going to be sticking with single ccd miniDV this year, and hopefully upgrading to 3ccd HD next year, which probably means nothing to you if you haven't put alot of research into this. A single ccd mini DV camera will get you familiar with good angles to use and how to edit and then if you decide that video is something you want to get into you'll be able to know where to look in terms of upgrades.
  9. What happened to your other leg Rob?
  10. Edited title so it doesn't spoil it for anyone. Good job Bode. Have a few on me man.
  11. Where do they work!?! Sign me up!!!
  12. We have about 3000 miles of farmland and mountains that the jet stream laden with Pacific moisture needs to go over before reaching us. They have like 50. We get some Gulf Stream play, but nothin on their scale.
  13. Highly doubt that she will get anywhere close to $275 for them on e-bay. I've picked up brand new current year stuff thats in high demand for less than that. Some of the Axis boards on ebay are going for around $200 with bindings. I think its kinda wack that Bell gave out 3 year old all mountain skis for a park event. Bad press. My advice whether you'd like it or not is to just take the easy $150 or $100 from someone instead of having them sit around trying to get close to $300. You could easily make back the money you spent for the day. Everyones a winner!
  14. From what I understand there is gonna be a good amount of your smooth flowy single and double barrel rails along with some flat stock rails to go along with the swingset, s box, and bus. The top of the swingset is pretty long. I'm not a great estimate maker but I'd say its like 25ft?
  15. Link up that info.
  16. With the new 60 degree and below capable snowmakers!
  17. Temps seem a little fishy still for our region, especially Philly. It's right there though... I've been watchin it too, I'm sure we're not the only ones.
  18. I'll give ya 50 bux for em. Thats about all I got. How long are they?
  19. Mr Rumor mill....
  20. If you had them run through a binding check with the new boots then you should have no problem. If the binding check was with your old boots it really couldn't hurt for safeties sake if you got them checked again with the new ones. If you ever have any warrantee issues with a binding failure some companies will ask for a receipt showing that the skis were mounted and checked by a certified individual.
  21. First you make sure you spell what you're looking for correctly. Then you e-mail the companies you would like to represent asking who the company representative is in your area. Then e-mail him or her telling them why you think you deserve to be sponsored. Enter lots of comps and do well to build your resume.
  22. Anyone know of a common sense test we can give this kid?
  23. Haha no worries I didn't say you have to like anything, I have my own feelings about stuff too. I actually think that feature has a lot of potential believe it or not. The way I would set it up needs a wide flat lip and steep landing, which I think we'd be able to do with all of the new snowmaking capacity. How it actually ends up getting setup will be up to park crue and management, but you can be sure that any suggestions will be heard. I think most of the crue is in agreement that it is all about flow and smooth hits this season.
  24. We've been getting what seems like 2 feet of rain almost every week in PA for the fall. When will it get cold!?!? Forecasts for snowmaking look good after this week though. If stuff doesn't change for the worse we could see opening days around the 9th. I talked to some buddies who skied Crystal Mt. and then said it was waist deep and super stable. I told them to send me some white powder in a letter, but the authorities would probably jump all over us.
  25. Haha so much hate. We've got a lot of guys puttin alot of work into the place this year. I'm lookin forward to stuff thats really well maintained. We're lucky in the fact that we pretty much have the only park in PA that is a whole trail with a decent amount of vert. We have top to bottom features, and there is more motivation than ever among park crue members to make stuff great this year with all of the improvements management has given us=. I'd like to get some pics of all the new guns on Sidewinder, its so impressive to stand on the top of the trail and just see how many there are now. We are gonna be able to put so much snow on that trail.
