  1. Ya its like a 40-45 minute run from Bellingham. Thats really where you'd stay if you wanted to ride Baker and have cheaper budget hotel lodging. There aren't really any hotels between Baker and Bellingham and I don't know if they allow car camping in their lot.
  2. Packers were givin em a good run there for a little bit though. I thought it was an exciting game. Baker is like 2 and a half hours from Seattle depending on weather. It definitely doesnt get crowded but there aren't any high speed lifts that access any of the best stuff. The quality of the runs more than make up for that fact.
  3. Wish I was in the home land right now. I've gotten pics and e-mails from a couple friends who have gone out and I wanna kill myself. It never snows in Seattle, like once a year if that. It usually hovers right around 40 degrees with misty rain all winter. Baker is a great hill in a dump. So many fun lines. You can stay in bounds all day and never get bored. The lines in the BC there are somethin else though. I think I'm gonna put an app. in at Whistler or Baker if I don't go to Utah when I graduate.
  4. I'd assume they'd keep Diablo going since to my knowledge it is seperate from the ski side of things totally and is just leased by the operators. That place is pretty established now. Who knows they maybe a few trails would pop up at BB. I'd be all for it. I've talked to people at Blue a few times about it but there isn't too much interest.
  5. Nice to see the Blue guys gettin out and doin some damage. Kinda bummed I didn't get out this weekend, but for some reason it's not bothering me that much. I'm sorry...
  6. All the new guns are pretty much put in on the left hand side of Sidewinder. Snowmaking capacity on that trail is gonna be insane. I was shocked when I was up there yesterday. There are so many of them. I shoulda taken a pic. It sounds like there is some fun stuff being worked on right now up at Blue. Those first couple things are outa the way. That C and that swingset will get dialed for sure. The S has good potential. I'll look totally different when it is setup. Those kink rails that I posted about a while ago are whats gettin worked on right now.
  7. Maybe I'm going. I'm quite broke though. I just looked at my skis and saw that my edge is cracked and starting to pull away from the base.
  8. Yo Dan welcome to PASR.
  9. See sno mountain skiers post on where Invaders are mounted... Holds true for every Invader out there.
  10. Nice to see everyone had fun!
  11. Ya my moms been forwarding me the press release type things they do. I'm a bitter man because of it.
  12. x1
  13. First up are some Volkl P30's from a few years back. These bad boys are pretty much like a Bentley. Heavy, stable as sh*t when you give 'em some speed, and they were expensive. They are my dads skis, and they've pretty much been skied out West. Bases are in good condition, but in need of a good cleaning and waxing. Edges are in good shape. He caught a few rocks in Chamonix so there are a few scrapes on the base here and there, and some burrs on the edges from that business. They are right around 190cm. Asking$150 obo. Second we have... Rossignol Bandit B2's with Rossignol Power 100 Demo bindings. Din range 3-10. Can be easily adjusted to fit any size boot. 170cm long, these are a great midfat ski. Super stable and great for just about any condition you'll encounter. Almost a twin tip, tail is raised slightly, I've landed switch with less tail than these have. Looking for $225 obo.
  14. As far as I could tell Coors Light was the sponsor of pond skimming, which was humorously ironic because 90% of those shirts went to minors. I don't see why we couldn't have a beer sponsor given that precedent.
  15. I have some brand new 2007 Salomon Dumont Twin Tips. Its a wood core ski with an 18.5m turning radius and 83mm waist so its a pretty good all condition/all mountain ski. They are 176cm so if you're 6 foot and going to be using them as an all around ski they would fit you great. I'm asking $400 on them. You can find suitable bindings for anywhere between 75-125 bucks. That'll keep you right in your price range.
  16. Just wanted to make everyone aware that there has been a change in the Freeride Skiing program at Blue. Our former head honcho Chris Allen has moved on to explore "whiter" pastures. We wish him all the best and will no doubt be visiting him wherever he ends up and definitely at 1260 Park. I'll be running the program this year, and if anyone needs information or would like to put someone in contact with me I can be reached at makit1@lasalle.edu. Below is some information for those that aren't familiar with the our program. Program starts December 16th at 9:00am and meets every Saturday and Sunday at that time thru February 18th. We ski until 1:00pm, usually stopping for a small break. Those who are able often stay after 1:00pm to freeski with the coaches. Cost is $465.00 before November 16th, and $490.00 post November 16th. Please note that these prices do not include lift passes. The program is designed for advanced skiers ages eight years old and up. Emphasis is made on strengthening fundamental skiing skills, and adding newschool manuevers to those skills. We work on jumps, spins, grabs, and hitting rails/features. The primary emphasis will be on safety, respect, technique, and most important, FUN!!! Looking forward to an awesome season. Please pm or e-mail me for more info. -Trevor
  17. I'm tryin for Friday. I may have a buyer for the skis I'm trying to sell in Worcester where I'm going to be for Thanksgiving, and might be able to roll from there to Bell.
  18. I have a feeling the bus will be buried.
  19. I wanna be there with camera in hand for when Doug attempts riding up the stairs.
  20. There is plenty of access for the cats. The stairs, along with all the other features in the park, will be maintained by Park Crue.
  21. Nice... You guys figured it out on your own!
  22. I don't have time to ski right now. I'm pissed. If anywhere was open I might make time. This is depressing.
  23. Ya its gonna be a good time. I wanna get one of those old snowcats they have layin around and make it park crue's preferred mode of transportation after a sick spray can session to liven it up.
  24. Ya I guess he is if he likes going face first into stairs...
