Exactly... What is Sno Mountains url?
-
Bear Creek goin' off! Can't wait to visit and see these improvements. I was expressing my frustration at divisions being split up by self described skill levels through the creative use of emoticons.
-
Wow they didn't even make the list... That list needs some serious editing anyway.
-
At the ski expo the Killy rep said they were going for Thursday November 9th. The day time highs don't look favorable for this opening, but no one saw that October dump really coming last year sooooo........ PRAY FOR SNOW!!!!
-
Bomb drop John... I already claimed it in my shoes. I don't know if you've been filled in on the Blue Balls Chinese Downhill. We couldn't get Red Bull to sponsor it, so Blue Balls stepped in. visit our sponsors website...

Ya I saw that shiz. I really like features like that.

I kinda feel like picnic table jibs are gettin played out. I personally feel like it would be cool to see more rail to rail/box to box gaps. What kinda grade is the terrain that Montage/Sno works with for their terrain parks? I guess the picnic table jibs are decent for the sections that are more flat.
-
Speaking of changes and improvements related to this thread, did you talk to the planet guy too Sno? Have they said anything about what kind of jibs they wanna put up?
-
Oooooo Papa nails the bust on that one... Yep
-
pwned. My bad I missed the time and thought that was a few weeks old. Are you guys allowed to roll up there and walk around? It would be cool to see some pics if they get the work started. Gonna be hard to get all that work done, but when deadlines are close I've seen construction crews burn it up and get things finished. Sno needs to get runnin' and get into the parks rivalry between Bear, Boulder, and Blue! We need a mountain that doesn't start with a "B" to balance things out! Haha.

I watched a good amount of Pull in Nestors on Monday. Definitely diggin it. Anyone see 91 Words for Snow? That was an awesome snowboard movie. I picked it up for free at a hotel I stayed at. Whos going to the Camelback premeire Thursday? I'm there...

Gotta gap the rail to do it Doug. Atomics doin it on those new 183's. I did it ski-less on Sunday night. Nah definitely not. The pattern tends to be that hillier campuses have much better potential.
-
There may not be authorities on here, but it'll most likely get poached by someone else. We walked around Lehigh's campus Sunday night. That place is like a Tony Hawk level in real life. Theres an urban cliff drop/rail gap that is definitely goin down with a good snowstorm...
-
What did they say timeline wise? Anything? Haha nah I don't wanna gamble on Montage/Sno. If this was happening at my home mountain I'd be insane by now. You guys are troopers for sure.

Things like this aren't advisable to post online...

You guys responded! Awesome! Stoked to have you guys in PA! Look around a couple of your threads. There are a few good questions that we'd love to see some answers on...

Not lookin good for Sno Mountain this year. People are sayin "Ahhh there's plenty of time left to install 200 guns, a new pipe, redo the lodge, etc..." I hope it goes through but right now I'm naysayin...
-
One other thing I noticed is that after a post is made no one checks the threads to answer questions that people have. Do they know they can do this? Are they going to split up comps between the mountains or hold everything at Boulder?
-
Ya I was actually thinking about selling the new park skis I got this year to buy some boots for park and some boots for ripping/trips out west. There are just so many different niches starting to pop up, kinda reminds me of the bike industry I work in. You can have two bikes with 6" of travel, one is a medium duty freeride bike, the other is a long travel XC bike, but they look almost the exact same. Its just little changes between the two that make a huge difference in the ride. It makes way more sense to have a park boot be a bit more upright. I would think that it allows you to be more more stable skiing switch, as you can work the whole ski with alot more control. Its kinda hard to pressure the tails of the ski when skiing switch, because normal boots are designed to put your weight over the tips. I wish I could speak from experience, but maybe nipples will have some better input on this. It sounds right in theory...

CANCELLED!!! Philly is no longer on TGR's tour list, and the Troc has another show scheduled now. If you search Philly on TGR it says date TBA.
-
preseason rail jams huh.... Anyone else hear that the TGR premeire/swollen show got nixed!?!?!
-
Bummer...

Fear man... Those comps are gonna be nice. Splitting disciplines into different days could be the solution to a problem we all know too well... All the other ones don't really apply to me or most guys I know.
