  1. Samesies. I hope every weekend is like this past one. I had the first big test of my knee tonight when I went over the bars. Held up just fine. Nice and strong. Count it!

    Need Ski Help!!

I have a pair of Line Invaders with Look P10 Bindings I'd sell for $120. 171cm. Used for part of a season.
  3. 2-4 inches for some areas in PA according to weather service...
  4. They're giving away tickets to that here at work via raffle. I'll go if I win some. Possibly will go even if I don't.
  5. Yup. Most of the new stuff looks really clean and fun...
  6. Thanks for clarifying!
  7. Just look at it as a new opportunity...
  8. Johnny, Will Buckman's offer store credit only for the used sale? Rumor was that in past years you guys also offered a 90% cash back option... Thanks!!!
  9. I was up over the weekend. Stuff is looking very nice...
  10. Always a high point in my life to know you're still alive and well...
  11. Man I brush my teeth with the stuff...
  12. JB Weld anyone? Way more bomber than p-tex...
  13. I picked up a Patagonia coat at Nestors for 40% off today. Also grabbed a pair of mountain khakis for work at 30% off. They still have a pretty good selection of stuff on the coat and pants racks in a variety of sizes. I'm limiting skiing gear spending this year to $500 I think... Still need new helmet, goggles, pants...
  14. There is no good skiing in Italy. Italy isn't worth the trip as a skiing destination. They don't get snow and tickets were too cheap. Don't go.
  15. Sooooo sick. Didn't even know that was available there. I went to Norway when I was about 9 yrs old but still remember a pretty good portion of the trip. After seeing your pics I would love to get back. Thanks for sharing!
  16. There are definitely good deals. They have a bunch of the summer stuff discounted at 30% off and a good selection of it. Some of last years skis at good prices too. I've gotten some great deals on previous years outerwear there and its nice to try it on and buy it. Gotta love the impulse buy...
  17. I may have access to a pair with demo bindings on them if you'd like to scoot around on them for a little bit. I'll be stopping by the Nestors sale tonight around 6ish to check things out...
  18. I'm sitting on some 2010 JP Juliens in a 175. Might be selling them. May get Line Bacons or Ep Pros and some Afterbangs as well...
  19. Ya no fun at all. Finishing up rehab soon. Training real hard to get my knee and leg strong. Hoping to be back in action by December/Januaryish. Probably not 100%, but just hoping to be on the slopes. Such a bummer to lose a surf/climbing/biking/hiking season...
  20. no doubt!
  21. You want language barrier go to China or Africa. If you go to ANY resort or even slightly touristy destination in western Europe the language barrier will be the very least of your issues. They've been teaching English over there since WWII in many cases... I've been to many different countries, and the first time I experience any kind of real language barrier was last year in China as they have only relatively recently made English a part of the curriculum. Cost and time are the only two real barriers to skiing/riding in Europe. Honestly if you go to Chamonix or somewhere similar a little bit later in the winter, snow will be the least of your worries (show me sometime through your skiing ability that this really is a pertinent issue anyway). The Alps are so strikingly beautiful and fun that it wouldn't really matter to me in the least if I skied crust and groomers all week long.
  22. I don't read the map as saying it will be more snowy here than in VT. VT on average is a snowier place. It is simply saying that the areas covered in the different shade of blue are going to be snowier as compared to their annual average, not they are going to get more snow than a place where snow is already an expectation and thus has a higher annual average. Lets not go the way of the car threads and compare apples to oranges here...
  23. http://www.accuweather.com/news-weather-fe...s.asp?#extremes not sure how long link will work... According to AccuWeather.com's Chief Meteorologist and Expert Long Range Forecaster Joe Bastardi, cooler-than-normal weather this summer in the Northeast could point to a cold, snowy winter for the Northeast and mid-Atlantic states. He says the heart of winter will be centered over the area from Boston to Washington, D.C. Feel like an ass for starting this up on July 15th, but who the eff cares... disclaimer: I should note that after years of using several weather 'resources', I consider accuweather to be the meteorology equivalent of the National Enquirer... they're all about the hype...
  24. Let me know how you like the Lakes. I bought a pair once and they were a total mismatch for my feet. Sent them back within an hour... People ask me about them and I'd love to have some substantive feedback to offer up.
  25. Eff my knee.... Sounds like a good time! I was saying 'wtf mate' about paying to get into the waterpark for this until you mentioned the flowrider... I would love to have a private evening session on the Flowrider... Good luck with everything!
