I have a Fox Flux. Similar to a Giro Xen. Its super comfy, big vents for good airflow, and great protection. I really like it because similar to a skate helmet it comes low down the back of the head. I've only used it for one fall so far that Dan and Justo could attest to it protecting my noggin well.

You could apply and see what happens. REI is actually a relatively difficult place to get a job at for what it is...

I'm planning on coming up and gimping around on the crutches.... Anyone have one of those beer hard hats I can borrow?

Haha I listened to that message for the first time today! You SOB! We'll plan something for next year no doubt... I have big dreams of a huge PA crew rollin' out deep somewhere... Whistler seems nice any time of year and next year after the Olympics should be pretty ballin'...

This will be the first year our crew hasn't gone out in May. We've gone out for the past three. Not really anything worth recommending... Get up to the Glacier and hike up and look over the backside, some of Blackcombs most famous lines lie there. 7th Heaven is always a good time, lots of little bumps and things to play on. Keep an eye out for some of the money booters that you'll see in next years films, maybe you'll even see a session with a Heli doing follow cams... Last year it was 85 degrees and the sun was nuclear, year before it was overcast and mid 40ish, year before that we got just under a foot of snow for 2 days and then two bluebird days. Whistler is awesome, shoulda just gone this year....

The question is; why not a van? Vans are the shit. One of my dream vehicles is a Dodge Sprinter. I'm so down with any vehicle that you can almost stand up in. Chevy Astros are are extremely awesome (especially the AWD versions)! I have a buddy that has a cargo version (no windows along the sides in the back) and it is fresh. We can fit three bikes inside, multiple surfboards, or any number of things. I shouldn't even have to mention the privacy that the cargo version offers... If Subarus didn't slay everything else out there I would definitely look into a Chevy Astro. Good choice Bob and Sex!

Good point. Lots of people die at the Canyons because there are so many tempting aspects that are very short hikes. ie. less than 20 minutes... I remember a few years back we had some good friends who lived just outside of Park City (they moved to Kansas ) and they guided at the Canyons on weekends. One of the days we were there a couple dropped their child off at the daycare and during the day they decided to make a short hike through one of the access gates. The slope they were on slid and buried both of them and at the end of the day there was someone at the daycare that no one was coming for... Better to be safe than dead.

'Calling out' vs. going to great lengths to humiliate are two very different things... I've been stopped on Paradise a few times, and not once have I received a ticket. Every single time I was respectful and I realized that I got caught so I kept my skiing to other runs for the day. Perhaps you could make a suggestion that Paradise be a designated slow skiing trail AFTER a certain time... ie. 9:30am on Weekends... I feel that slow skiing trails should exist at a mountain like Blue. For some reason, people in this area of the country who have never skied before feel some need to ski the entire mountain on the first day. I can't even begin to count the hundreds of people I've laughed at as they tumble down Challenge on rental equipment. Seems like even more of a liability than the terrain parks! I digress... PASR has given both of you a great means to show how ignorant you can be. As the supporting locals that you both claim to be, why didn't you sack up and go to ski patrol after your first issue? One of you was carted off the mountain last year and spoke highly of the patrollers who assisted you. Wouldn't that have been a great starting point with ski patrol themselves for a conversation about your concerns? You guys tried to humiliate some of the most respected members of ski patrol. You guys continue to look like the idiots. Get over it. -

Skiing in Pennsylvania is boring, but is this really how you guys have decided is the best way to get off? I mean we used to start food fights in high school because it was fun to get a rise out of the teachers, but we were 16... -
Can't believe you guys are finally gonna get lucky... Waited your whole lives for this...
