Was planning on hitting sno this year. Not sure if I'll have to now. Wife has friends in the Scranton area so sno and elk could be an easy one two combo for a weekend.
-
She seemed to like it last year so i'm sure she'll be fine. Hope she can get just a little better so I don't have to spend hours on the greens Also thats my cousins daughter in my avatar. Took here skiing for her first time with my wife and I last year. Did better her first time then my mother did lol. You are correct sir. Give me a little longer please.

Thanks for all the great info. You pretty much answered what my thoughts were based on looking around. As for the skiing with the wife aspects I went through that pain last year. She learned with me last year (both our first season/time) and didn't do to bad. We rented her skis for the season last year so this year we bought her a pair as she seemed to like it last year. We'll see how long that last and whether she progresses this year lol.

Rossignol passion I womens skis 146cm She's a beginner and with that scene it was grab whatever looked appropriate size wise. I think they are 2006/2007 season but still can't find any info. Oh well based on the last years model of the same brand/type it looks like an appropriate ski for her.
-
Lol. I have an iPhone and was able to look up the skis I liked but didn't get a chance for hers. Place was a mob scene.

I was there Guitar third in line at KOP. Trying to get my wife's skis and boots for the year. I know I got her some quality boots (unfotunately not on consignment) but I'm afraid I might have gotten taken on the skis. It was such a mob scene and I kinda just grabbed everything I could see in her size. Ended up with a pair of Rossi's but I can't seem to find the model online so I have no idea if I overpaid. On a side note I almost picked up a pair of fat skis for myself but I couldn't pull the trigger without knowing if what I was looking at was good or not.

Good deal. That should give us plenty of time to look up hotels and for a good weekend for the PASR crew to crash the mountain.
-
The only way a season pass would make sense for me would be if I lived closer to the mountains and could get there at nights during the week. Otherwise i'll be hitting up all the mountains at random or at PASR days.
-
I wanted to get a season pass for somewhere but I couldn't get the math to work out (trips vs. cost) plus I didn't want to be locked into one mountain.
-
You up there for an interview? If so good luck.

When I said late December I was meaning the week before Christmas 18-24th ish. There is no way in hell i'm going near anywhere the week of Christmas. I've been out when I thought it was crowded but I can't imagine how bad it will be that week. I figured the week before would be lighter crowds but I just wasn't sure about what I could expect to be open. December is pretty much my only chance to go up before late in the season (end of Feb, beg of March) because of work so its then or a long wait.
-
Not that you've put any thought into this lol. Debating an early trip to Killington in late December. Do you guys think the mountain will be in good shape by then?
-
I've been keeping an eye on flight prices to go out west for the past month. I can't wait.
-
Ya were going to check out the tent sales and stuff when they start but if nothing looks right then I may just do seasonal's for her. Still making sure she's 100% into it before we spend the cash for all her gear and such.
-
I'm definitely down. Last year buckmans had discounted lift tickets for weekends for sale. Not sure what the discount was (don't remember it being spectacular) but every little bit helps.
-
Probably get a new pair of pants/jacket, ski rack for the car and have to buy equipment for the wife. Might rent again for her not sure..
-
Sounds like a great deal ride. Get someone else to pay for it. Better watch out telling people where you'll be though don't want anyone from this crew showing up. Road trip anybody??
-
No question about that. I just started skiing in January so I didn't get a chance to make it up north but it

I've actually been to Elk. I thought it was nice and the lack of crowds was clutch. Bought my pass at Buckmans so I got a little bit of a discount. I'm down for whatever we can get the group to do.
-
All I hear in this discussion is the need for multiple PASR meetings at the mountain. Set up a couple dates to go to the various mountains and such as a group lol. Either way sounds like good times in the constant battle of Shit vs. Shit (good phrasing especially since I don't know anything but shit as I haven't skied outside of PA)
-
Stowe sounds like a great trip. My only issue with them is every time I look the pricing seems so much higher than the rest of vermont.
-
Oh lord I can already imagine the stories from that one. I don't think all will make it back to PA. As for the season I think I may be done unfortunately unless Nightrider has rrom in the car for the trip to Mount Snow this weekend lol or I can convince the wife that a trip to Sugarloaf the week of April 17th makes sense. It does right......
