My game plan is to hit something on the way to state college stay with a friend/go out, head to knob (about an hour and change from State) stay back with the friend and head home. Should make the travel more bearable and the access to a place to stay should allow me to choose a good time to go I would think.

Think i'll add this to the hit list this year.

Was going with $500 a person for flight (obviously the biggest variable) and 140 a night for the hotel * 7 days = $2K. Going to throw it out to a couple friends the more the better the cost gets.

Didn't want to create a new topic but figured i'd ask here for the Utah crowd about a potential trip i'm thinking about trying to convince a couple of friends to do. I wanted to get people's opinion's on whether this idea works for both parties or am I screwing myself/my friend. I was looking at flights and trips for this year and found a decent rate on a flight and hotel (both free on miles/points respectively). My proposal was to talk to my friend tell him i'll cover flight and room for 6-7 days and he would be up to cover lift, transpo and food for the trip. Does this sound like a fair deal for both parties? I did the quick math and me covering the flight and room is about $2K (keeping in mind i'm using points so real cost $0 not that it matters).

Plattekill is a great mountain with a lot of small feel to it. I don't know about there lessons but they don't offer much in the way of beginner terrain so be mindful of that.
-
Don't lie you would of poured one out for your homie and kept going.

I took my cousin (7 at the time) for her first lesson at Jack Frost then on the snow with me afterwards. The beginner slopes are simple enough there and the pricing was decent. The following year she did a lesson at camelback and did well. The year after we took a trip up to new york put her in an all day program at Hunter and she was skiing blues with my at jack frost by the trip home. All about time on the snow in my opinion but the all day programs up north were very nice. I though jack frost program was decent and terrain was fitting to a beginner.

I had a great time there last year. I hope to hit it up again mid season so I can get back into the slidebrook basin so sweet.
