dude i can't wait to try out both pairs, the size makes it more of an adventure, i was really scared the end of last season about it but now i just wanna do it and have fun
-
if they don't make us use the thingys i can use my SL skis as GS and my Volkl's as SL
-
i keep checking the ussa site and they are still posted as us using the mins so they better use them or we are ganna have problems
-
speaking of skis did skidude get SL skis yet?
-
if you've got two pairs of skis it would prolly be nice, just put a towel or something inbetween them
-
everyone told my parents that it was to soon when i was a little over a year old, but my dad went and talked to a few pedatric(sp) doctors and they said it would be fine, I couldn't do much talking so they relied alot on facial expression
-
i've never heard them talk about wearing them except when all the girls(there are like 4 of us) have PMS. Idk i've taking a couple gates out and it never really hurt, just frustrating
-
you're ganna need replacement balls, i hear it hurts if you take a gate between the legs if you're a guy

Hey atomic you racing this year?
-
my stuff never got put away....my mom's still buggin me about it, but one set of skis is all ready to go, one pair needs to be mounted but they also have wax on them, and one pair needs to be waxed and sharpened before the start of the season

-
has anyone ever noticed that they don't make any race ski blue? whats up with that, if i make it to the top(don't count on it) i'm getting blue race skis
-
i wish i could demo, that would prolly make this whole thing a little easier, but since that isn't ganna happen, i'm going with online reviews, advice from the coach, and alot of talking with skidude and ski
-
not sure yet, looking at atomic's and idk what else, one pair is ganna be a 150 for SL and 170 for GS, maybe even 176 for GS but i'm not sure yet
-
yea i'm going from 142 to like a 175ish ski, and i'm only 4'10" so they are just about twice my height
-
Anyone have any tips/ideas of how to get used to a new ski lenght with out actualy skiing it..since there isn't any snow
-
the ski wedges work great but get a good one, the old ones they used to make wern't that great, at age 2 1/2 i learned how to get it off while going down the mountain

Lesson are good if you don't think you have the ability to teach them, my dad taught me from 18 months till I was about 3 and then they put me and my best friend in lessons(kind of as a daycare, because our parents were ski patrol) but if you're ganna teach them, for a four year old, I would teach him the basic wedge(call it pizza, they seem to like that, and once you get up to parallel skiing I called that french fries) but teach him pizza and then on a week night when the mountain is empty take them on the bunny slope(CB would be coolmoor or sunbowl) and just kind of let him go, staying at his side but with enough room to experiment. If he is a tiny 4 year old and you are comfortable enough you can try putting him in between your skis and do nice big wedge turns down coolmoor so he gets the feel of where his skis are going to be. Just some side information that I?ve heard from ski reps and ski instructors someone under the age of 5 shouldn't be on shaped skis, something about it messes the leg growth plates up or something (but I?m pretty sure skis' daughter's skis are shape so you might wanna look further into that) and the leashes can mess the child?s back up and later in life make them ski "in the backseat" Hope this helps

someone used to use K2 for GS i think, but i don't remember who.....
-
Just fall when you wanna stop, that how all the new skiiers do it at CB. I'v found that if you arn't going that fast you can sorta do a pizza(wedge)stop, just like skis. But when ever i'm going fast and downhill i just make sure i have a flat enough runout to stop myslef

ahhh bad bad mental picture........
