Outside is one of the safer places to be, but not at a park. You can still transmit disease at a park very easily. Who is out there sanitizing hand rails? cleaning slides, swings, etc.? This time of the year many of the bathrooms at parks aren't even open yet and if they are, the likelihood of them having soap is minimal. For the good of our greater community, people need to practice social distancing and take it seriously. I don't get what is so hard to understand about that.

Truth. We both like beer and running, too.

I've given him more 'likes' for his response to this pandemic than I have given you 'confused' for your stupid responses. And I''ve been generous with the confused faces.

Luckily you aren't running a business where there are congregating people. It is super low-risk where you are, but it is nice to see that you are taking it as seriously as it should be. Wash you hands and disinfect electronics and door knobs!

It should be national.

Good. Drink a beer at home or your hotel house. It will be cheaper anyway.

Looks like a great day to end on! Sorry I couldn't contribute @toast21602's toast or toast you all to a great season! Hopefully I'll ski some of you during the off months!

Damn. Glad to hear that you are okay right now. I've had plenty of concussions myself so I know how all that goes. They definitely are two great guys and of course this just confirms that. Good thing they were there with you. Props to @JFskiDan and @RidgeRacer 🙌🙌🙌

Well, the 6 days of skiing turned into 4 days of skiing. The first day offered plenty of sun, days two and three were filled with deep snow and good turns, and the final day was sun filled and full of miles upon miles of exploration. It was an incredible experience to ski in the Alps and travel through Switzerland by train. The ease of travel was mind-blowing compared the infrastructure here in the states. The mountains were incredible, the skiing was fantastic, the breads, cheeses, and meats were delicious, and I don't think I've ever drank so much wine during après festivities. Having a guide rip around and show us the mountains and stashes was worth it and definitely a confidence booster. Despite the abrupt end to the trip, it was still a fantastic experience. I'm glad that I got to share the experience with @KevinThomas and @AtomicSkier Some of these photos were posted before, but these are some of my favorite memories: Old-school tin can gondola: Roller road crossing: Lunch in Tortin: Powder turns: Sunny exploration of Lac des Voux, Combatseline, and Six Blanc: 500m surface lift to the top of Greppon Blanc Mountaintop lunch above Thyon: Top of Mont-Fort: Après and Cheese Cave: Hope you all enjoyed the reports and photos over the last week. What a great end to the season. Thanks for following along!

Probably influenced by Blue's decision 😂

The argument that influenza kills more people every year isn't comparable. The flu is somewhat predictable where strains of the flu can be isolated early enough for vaccines to be modified from year to year for prophylaxis. COVID is a newly discovered virus where there is no vaccination and won't be for a while. It is spread rapidly and people may not even be aware that they are carrying the virus because of the varied symptomatology. People are dying at a rate 10+ times the rate of influenza. It is ignorant to blame "the media" for talking about this when it is literally a worldwide pandemic.

Looks like you all are having a great time out there! It definitely looks like a cool mountain to ski.

Sorry I won't be able to provide bread for sandwiches or toast. I don't think anybody wants Coronavirus bread. Although, I do enjoy a flavorful beer bread.

I’ll post something tonight.

yes, it is bad and it will get worse. Italy had 250 deaths in the last 24 hours. That is incredibly significant and they ARE testing and screening people. I got back to the states last night. Nobody screened me. I called the PA DOH and told them that I came back from Switzerland (level 3 alert country). I asked what precautions I should take regarding self-quarantine for myself and family. They said they were not aware of any precautions that should be taken for returning from that country and will have to check with the epidemiologist and get back to me. WTF. Eventually called back and told me to self-quarantine. I think it is actually worse than is being reported because of the lack of testing that is occurring. It is absurd that countries are testing thousands of people a day and we have barely tested 10,000 in the last two months. South Korea has been testing that many EACH DAY.

He should, but I can only control myself and try to give enough information to others to make the best decisions.
