  1. Yep but taking it day to day with no plan or agenda. Sitting in a hot tub now pondering that decision.
  2. Schweitzer is a pretty cool place. The windy road up there was a bit sketchy covered in snow. Anyway, some fun steeps and small cliffy areas to mess around in. The trees are top notch here and the groomers were great to rip with some fresh snow on them. I really enjoyed it and I had to add it to the stat manager so either it hasn't been skied much, if at all, from people here or I missed it on the list. First time in Idaho and it really seems like a cool place to live if you're into the outdoors. It's been snowing a lot here lately and maybe a bit more to refresh things over the next few days. My hip held up for about 3.5 hours and then I had to take it easy getting back down to the lot. Check it out if you're ever in northern Idaho. Here are some pictures of the place when I remembered to take out my phone, and a food picture on my drive back for Doug.
  3. This is actually pretty decent and I listened a few times. Nicely done.
  4. That isn't a rumor, that has been true for a while.
  5. 24th is the only day that would work for me.
  6. I'm glad you didn't get buried in the perder.

  8. Ah, looks incredible! Be safe and enjoy!
  9. What a trip! As always, well done! Looks like a hoot.
  10. Nope not today. Do they allow it? I was just getting trying to get a feel the skis going downhill and they are a hoot.
  11. Nice way to end the day. Really good conditions here this afternoon and evening. Lots of people but empty trails and the snow was absurdly good.
  12. I have to be in the area for a meeting tomorrow. Maybe I'll bring my skis and check it out for an hour or two. It has been a few years.
  13. Skied 8 runs this afternoon under sunny skies until my hip told me to quit. Shocked at the conditions and how great everything was. The snow was fantastic. ROTD for me was the Laziest Mile or Coming Soon. No lift lines either. Just a lovely day.
  14. PLEASE wear your diamond plated Miami hat.
  15. Yep. These things are super light!
  16. just another reason why they are the 9th best ski area in PA.
  17. why are they closed? what the hell is going on with that place?
  18. There were a lot of schools that had off today so I'm sure that contributed to the crowds up there..

    Boa ski boots?

I've tested BOA trail shoes and really disliked them. not sure how closely that aligns with boots...

  21. Terribly hot 😂 It came off seconds after I took that picture about 200m into the skin.
  22. First time on the snow for me this year after getting the okay from PT to give it a go. I decided to take the new sticks out for some uphill laps and a little workout. The uphill felt fine but the lateral pressure on my hip on the downhills was pretty painful so I'll have to really ease back into it. Enough about that. As always, Shawnee was quite enjoyable. Seems like they had most open but I usually stick to the perimeter of the place while going uphill to avoid people. First two laps were up Kittatinny to the shack and down Arrowhead, second was up Kittatinny to the shack and down Delaware, and third was up Kittatinny to Bennekill, and back down Kittatinny. The new setup was infinitely light compared to what I used before and it made it a lot more enjoyable. Still need to get some more time taking them downhill and skiing bindings like that. Anywho, here are some photos. Hope to see some of you soon. Cheers.
  23. I did! I actually have my skis with me now before I head to my appointment and I might head there if I get the okay. Meeting for some uphill there and a bevy would be nice 👍
  24. Been a while that I've been dealing with a hip injury that has been limiting some of my activities because of instability with lateral movements. Things have improved over the last few months and I'm seeing my PT today to *hopefully* be cleared to get back on the skis. Really looking forward to easing in and to encourage myself to get out I got myself a new touring setup. Pumped to get on the snow again soon and see some of you🤞
