~2" here at my house. still coming down.

Here's a quick little report for all of you who actually read reports: Blue was good this afternoon. I got up there and it was pretty empty. There were blowing on a lot of trails - Raceway, Razors, Challenge, Razorback, Terrain Run, Finish Line, the top of Lazy, Main Street, and the bottom of falls. There were guns all over tubing, but none of us really give a shit about that. The snow was incredibly good this evening. Even the firm snow was very carvable and smooth - nothing like I remember skiing before at Blue. The snow that fell the other evening really helped a lot. I don't think I'll be up until next weekend again. Maybe a night session if I'm lucky. Here are some pics, if they work. see you suckas soon.

There's some irony in here somewhere...
-
ok, Doug, stop tainting up my thread like you do every other.
-
You're right. First pump!
-
I love how updated they are keeping us this year. Whoever is doing their PR and marketing is doing a fantastic job, thus far.
-
6+ inches up here. I would guess more.
-
Doug, are you skiing tomorrow morning?
-
not yet. 2.5-3" right now. i would expect at least 5". its going to be hard to measure with this wind, though.
-
Good amount here and still coming down.
-
Sorry to hear that
-
that sounds terrible. terribly fun.
-
nice. hard to mess up snow when it doesn't make it out of the 20s. even Blue has some great snow right now.
-
Good to see!!
-
What a stellar start to the season. Thanks for the pictures! Can't wait to ski this weekend!
-
Let me know.
-
Yeah it's too expensive at PowMow. Stay home.
-
and more fun.
-
how/why are you spending so much for a trip out there? it can be done for <$1000 pp easily... including food and beer.
-
Who will be there this weekend? Where are you parking? What beer are you bringing?
-
damn. I was thinking of heading up. You have to let me know when you do evening sessions.

***EPAWA FIRST CALL MAP FOR SAT/SUN WINTER STORM*** A major winter storm will affect the area this weekend, and for some areas will have the potential to be the largest one-storm snowfall since the Halloween storm of 2011 for some... but this is not a run to the grocery store and raid the milk and bread isle storm. The above link will provide a bigger map than the one shown here, and also include synopsis, timing, and discusses the banding wildcard that can create a few surprises, and pleasant surprises if you are looking for more snow. Purple and red dashed circled areas have "see text" text to it, and the text is as follows: PURPLE SHADED AREAS: 4-8"+ snow, best chance to remain all or mostly snow and the best chance to meet or exceed posted totals. RED CIRCLED AREAS: Wildcard area we are watching for potential banding that can increase snowfall rates along the expected thermal gradient. This will be an 11th hour call and has the ability to increase snowfall rates and totals where this banding sets up. Beyond what is posted here, you can visit the link at the very top of the post for any answers. Since this information is clearly provided, we will not be answering specific questions. The information is self-explanatory and easy to understand. Thank you.

that only happens in Utah, especially PowMow
