sorry my video report from yesterday didnt live up to the expectations today. doesn't sound like it was too bad, though.
-
it was from the american cancer society relay for life division. i'm not sure if jfbb has set up something like this, or if the susan g komen foundation has something for you to use. if not, i would suggest mentioning something to the PR person up there because making it easy like that will help with getting donations.

challenge is fine this year and the bumps up top are a great addition. and razors has been open for 2 weeks now but has been closed for the last 2 days for snowmaking. there are huge piles of snow that they are supposed to be grooming out tonight for full coverage of the trail.

good find Robert2. I'm gonna try to make my way up for this. remind me about it in a month haha.

photo quality is decent and the video quality is the best i've seen for something this lightweight, small, and portable. i would recommend it. just compare it to the video and photos that jeff and doug are posting

wow you guys are hurting for snow. coverage looks sketchy right now. the only visions i had of that mountain were covered with 8" of snow every morning when i woke up 2 years ago. i hope the snow starts falling hard for you.

i was up this morning. probably wont make it up until saturday morning again, unless i go after work tomorrow or friday. anyway, conditions have been incredible first thing in the morning before the masses come and take over the hill. everything has been groomed super well, and the bumps and parks have been amazing. make sure you get there early for the best possible conditions, obviously. i love getting there early and watching the sun come up over the hill on a clear day. JADIP. first run of the day i had the gopro out and mounted on the pole for some different angle shots. kinda cool looking and filming this way in bumps and the park is neat-o. and of course, the real KT was there shredding with white wave as well. here is a video of the bumps and our first run down Central Park. its unedited, so forgive me for the talking and the loud wind noise. (you can just turn the volume off) they had blown fresh snow in the bumps so they were absolutely perfect. best bumps i have skied on the east coast. yes i said it. if it doesn't load, peep this link: enjoy, or don't.

thats incredible. don't ever leave that place for the next week.
-
how is the wife enjoying the trip?
-
that doesn't look enjoyable at all. no offense.
-
fair enough. see you there. this will be my first trip out there so i'll probably be contacting you when it gets a little closer. keep us updated here about the parks and status of springs since there are a few of us who travel out that way occasionally for family/gf visits.
-
damn. i was planning on skiing the 13th morning there. but probably not now if the park is going to be closed for a comp. what a boner.
-
bonus: WBCA on tap at the bar up top.
-
hopefully you guys get some snow. coverage is great at Blue.... haha.

anyway, like justin said, today was really good. here is some photo evidence: pic of lower park and them grooming out central park a shot of the jump line on sidewinder. kinda hard to see. bumps on challenge. the bumps were better on mainstreet as you can see by justin's video. the snow was awesome today. no complaints at all. justo and ryan doing their thing... grooming was good today as well. again, no complaints with grooming in weeks. they stepped it up after all the complaints. and what makes it better is that they have been blowing a nice layer on most of the trails right after they are groomed. then we ended the day with some shooting in the lower park since thats all thats worth filming right now. both gopros were out today so the lower park probably looks like a circus with our cameras mounted on our helmets and poles. and thats all. photo and video reports making PASR so much better. i'm glad people are starting to do that more now. yay.

we were looking for you today.
-
nice pictures Dave. looks like the perfectly timed trip up north for you.
-
love the lift picture.
-
jerk. too bad you have to run demos all day.
-
every man for himself. you have to push away from the lift before you get taken out by up to 5 other people riding with you.
-
after the first headwall its just as flat as it has always been. the bumps on the left side are kinda fun though, with freshly blown snow.

conditions were great first thing this morning. i was up with angry hugo for most of the morning. had the gopro out again and was shooting some video and photos. just trying to get used to the thing and what it can do. lots of fun. great conditions. grooming was good. and about the issues you had: riding the double chairs is pretty much a waste of time if the quad and 6pack are up and running. you can make it to almost most of the mountain from them. and the stuff that you cant make it to, isnt usually worth hitting anyway. as for the rope being up, i was pissed about that too because i could get back to the upper lodge that way. but when main street is closed for grooming and blowing there is really no other option. beginners who go that way can very easily turn down 'crossing' or whatever its called to take mainstreet back down. its nothing to be pissed about since it was posted on the website this morning and the closed trails board in the lodge. if you missed it, its your own fault pretty much. i just forgot about it when i was up there today. anyway, back out tomorrow morning for some more turns.
