i got all of my gear out and its sitting on my dining room floor. i'm pretty much just staring at it in anticipation for it to be used on friday. thank god i have off today to do that and fri-sun to use it.

AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. well at least it isnt going to be all rain... that might save them a little bit from losing a lot of snow.

blue is blowing hard again. i wish there was a cam at the bottom of main street. hopefully they can open this weekend because i do not want to go to boulder.

they will be open next weekend. i've already made that decision.

it does for a kid who has been stuck in PA his whole life... and for the rest of us who are still here on the east coast.

i'm saying they could at least get the vista chair open... instead of blowing on tubing right now. they dont need the mainstreet chair to open the place up. they can do fine with the vista lift which is basically the size of boulder. people will still come.

if they dont open by the 11th then there are going to be a lot of pissed off people.

for real? having their best season last year, adding disc golf and amazing mountain biking to the whole mountain to be open pretty much year round. sounds like success to me when compared to Sno who hasn't done shit in years.

honestly, i dont think its the best idea. chances are, one day out of the week that you will be there its gonna snow somewhere. and when it does, thats when you chase the mountain. until that day(s) comes, just hunt out the untracked and windblown trees and enjoy the west for what it is. save money on the trip so you can do it again next year instead of breaking the bank trying to hunt down the powder.

i would be content with Blue opening with just vista and come around. that is about the same size as boulder. people would go. i know i would.

i noticed that too. i'm not a big gear guy like you, but i have definitely noticed the comeback of some companies... and not only in racing.

justo and i had built a gun a few winters back. it was a success, but we needed an air compressor that would keep the pressure continuous instead of draining and then kicking back it. still fun to do.

it was about 3 or 4 winters ago that Blue had a jump that size... and i think it measured to about 62 feet. it wasn't very good, but it was big.
