looks like good weather to me.

damn that sucks. it was so good this morning. it probably turned to crap after 12 when we left.

sugar-granular surfaces suck. should have gone to Blue.

they can, they will, and they do a good job.

good day to take off from skiing, i guess. it got packed as we were leaving. you really should have taken the day off from work to come up in the morning.

Just got back from a grand session at Blue on this fabulous President's Day. Rolled up for opening with Justin and Rose and skied just over 4 hours. Everything was really nice with a lot of freshly blown snow on a lot of trails. Sunny skies, great snow, good grooming... added a new feature to the park... a tractor tire. could be a lot of fun if it had a better lip onto it, but it was wayyyy too mellow and people were getting bucked by it. they blew new snow all over the park and shaped everything pretty perfectly. oh hey that's Justin. and in the bumps. which were kinda fun since they blew snow in there as well. me skiing Razor's, which was sooooo nice on the left side where they blew a nice layer of snow. it was kinda slower than normal, but still a ton of fun. the side of Razor's had a nice base of blown snow off the trail so we played around in there a bit. please enjoy this photo of my 180 back onto the trail. thanks. that is all.

yeah except how do you expect the little kids that are 10 to clear those jumps, let alone, actually hit them.

i was up this morning and it was priiiime. so much fun. everything was groomed very well and new snow on at least 1/2 the mt. the park was built super well, too.

i'll go 50/50 with you on that.

oh gosh.

i feel for you guys far away. i don't know what i would do if i didnt live 10 minutes from Blue. I can handle a 30 minute drive like i did when i was in school, but more than that i would die. i wouldn't be able to have those hour sessions when the crowds suck and conditions suck.

crazy thing... i was gonna go up to Snow this weekend but i couldn't get off of work Friday night so i ditched my plans. If i would have known you would be there as well with the fam, i probably would have called in sick.

thats probably what they really should do with it since they obviously aren't going to be building a pipe.

1/4 pipes are soooo much fun if they are built right. i remember a couple years ago at Mount Snow they had a huuuuge one at the bottom of their super pipe. so much fun.

i'm glad places are still going to be blowing snow after this warm spell instead of just giving up. Blue is going to be blowing this weekend, and i heard Bear was going to as well if the temps allow.

of course they do. they ALWAYS do. but for some ungodly reason, they choose not to.

pond skimming isnt always on the last day at Blue. i'll be happy if the 22nd is the last day. thats a good season in my book. it takes a lot of work, snow, and money to keep that place open much longer with how big it is. and Doug lied, he skied there in November this year.

hahaha, gotcha. i thought it was a typo. it's all clear now and makes sense. haha.

i'm stoked to see places like JFBB and Blue start snowmaking again this friday!
