  3. ... WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO MOVE THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY FRIDAY AND THEN REDEVELOP OFF THE MIDDLE ATLANTIC COAST FRIDAY NIGHT BEFORE MOVING FARTHER OFFSHORE ON SATURDAY. AN ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM TO ITS NORTH IS EXPECTED TO PROVIDE A FRESH SUPPLY OF COLD AIR FOR THIS SYSTEM. THE RESULT IS A POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY SNOW ON FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. SNOW SHOULD ARRIVE BY DAYBREAK ON FRIDAY. WARMER AIR MOVING IN ALOFT MIGHT MIX OR CHANGE THE SNOW OVER TO SLEET AND POSSIBLY EVEN FREEZING RAIN. THIS IS MORE LIKELY TO OCCUR IN THE LEHIGH VALLEY AND ALONG THE INTERSTATE 80 CORRIDOR. THE HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION SHOULD TAPER OFF BY FRIDAY EVENING. THE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING COMMUTE WILL BE DIFFICULT AT BEST. INITIAL ESTIMATES FOR SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS ARE 6 TO 12 INCHES WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN. PLEASE USE THE REST OF TODAY AND THURSDAY TO MAKE THE NECESSARY PREPARATIONS. THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE THE MOST WIDESPREAD AND DISRUPTIVE WINTER STORM OF THE SEASON SO FAR. A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW... SLEET... OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.

who needs ski boots when you can just duct tape your feet to the boards?
  9. nice mna. looks good up there. i need to make a trip up there one day this year.
  10. whatever.... i'm hoping for 3-6 inches tomorrow and tomorrow night!
  11. i dont know what to say other than its time for bed cuz i need to work 7-7 tomorrow.
  12. snowing here at my house. just drove back from the gf and the roads are covered. fresh poe for you guys tomorrow?
  13. i wish i could ski this weekend.
  14. i hope you got the sky blue.
  15. Just got back from the grand opening of the 6pack for this year at Blue. Surprisingly, after all of that rain, conditions were freakin' great. I got to Blue a little before 9 and i was only like the 4th or 5th car in the lower lot... the place was empty, which was great. After i booted up and got onto the 6pack the sun poked out and made the snow soften up a little more. snow was soft but fast. when you got to the top of the mountain it was like a whole new mountain. windy. cold. covered with snow/ice. rockin' the new PASR sticker on the helmet this year to replace that oldschool sticker it looked like they lost a ton of snow after all of the rain, but they still had a massive amount. tons of snow in the pipe. i cant wait for that thing to open since its one of the few pipes around here in PA anymore. you can see the lower terrain park open in the back which had some great flow. boxes all down the right side and a line of 5 small, but fun, jumps on the left. Blue is doing a pretty good job with the parks this year, but when i went over to come around park, there was nothing done to it and the lips sucked on everything. Sidewinder still has nothing on it, but hopefully soon they will start making snow on there if the temps drop. Some of the park crew guys i was riding with were saying that its going to take a few days of straight snow making about 3 more days to set the park up on there and get it ready. blah. at least they made the wall look ghetto. i dont know if this is a good or bad thing... but when i got there i noticed that the carnival wasn't set up anymore and they took down the funnel cake stand and replaced it with a portable log cabin. i hope they still have fried oreos. i wont be back up to Blue for a few days cuz i work this weekend. hopefully temps will allow them to blow on some more trails and open some new terrain. anyway, sorry for the lack of action shots, as i was there flying solo today. enjoy the report. now go out and enjoy the conditions.
  16. snow is starting to whiten up the ground here at my house.
  17. the best shots were of just the scenery and lifts. i thought the editing was decent, too much slow motion. sick camera for sure. easier said than done, but it would be 10x better if the riding was better. imo.
  18. i hear ya. its just not a good vibe. but i cant say i dont like the place. i think it has more to offer than a lot of places, and it has a hell of a lot more potential than many other PA hills, thats for damn sure.
  19. ask Blue... they freakin' built one for their snow tubing hut....
  20. closed to preserve the snow. dont get smart.
  21. hahahahahahahahha
