i hope they are open after Easter. i loved it when i was there last year. conditions were great, nobody was there... the park wasn't worth it, but the rest of the mountain was fun. and that was in the middle of February on a Saturday morning.

i was just hoping for a definitive date... hopefully the weekend after easter so i can take a trip up there with my Blue pass.

still no answer about a closing date...

does anybody know when camelback is closing?

I don't know about you, but most skiers/boarders will prefer powder over 'cord' any day. i really don't know of many people that would say "oh its snowing out and there won't be any fresh cord, so i'm staying in today." when it comes to skiing, i live for powder. i go on trips out west not just for bigger mountains and more terrain, but because they get fresh snow all the time, unlike here in PA. in January when i went to JH with Knuckle Dan, the only thing we skied was trees and powder because it snowed every day. i think the only time that we even touched a groomed cord run was when we get got off a lift or when we were trying to get to a lift since a lot of the terrain didn't drop right into a lift line. i completely disagree with those statements, and i think most people on this site will. that being said. i hope you are just kidding.

i agree. i'll definitely have to contribute more of that because i'm with you on that thought 100%. i'm a photo nazi myself and i'm always snapping shots (not just of skiing) Way too much bologna on this site that goes on, i cant say i haven't contributed to it, since we all have, but i can change the amount of garbage that i post and hopefully people follow the same path.

at the moment, i dislike you. but thats only temporary and based on my extreme jealousy, so dont hold it against me.

there will be a ton of PASR's there on saturday if you want to meet up with any of them. its blue's official gaper day. and the 22nd will be good as well. its the end of the season, take advantage of any day you can get.

yes, it is tempting. its a great deal and i was thinking about doing it but i dont have money right now... and CB is free. money always seems to be the issue.

they did more work on monday. i was talking to one of the photographers / camera guys that was there and they said they just needed to do some interviews and they would be out of there. also, last week the called in the medevac just so they could get a shot of it coming in. they had cameras set up everywhere. on top of challenge, the school hill, on the helipad. crazy stuff.

ahhh its back! so much fun last year!

there is a chance that i will be there. i have meetings until 3, but i might be able to sneak out early and get up for some runs before dark.

yeah two years ago they blew the night before closing... last year it was too warm. i wish they could stay open a little longer than next weekend...
