well i got up this morning and left for Blue around 7:05. Got there around 7:45 since some roads were closed for flooding and whatnot. When i rolled in there was nobody there. i was like the 10th car and i think all the others were employees. I didnt think that the place was open because there werent any lifts running so i thought maybe it didnt open until 8:30. Anyway, i booted up and headed out and then the lifts started moving. i guess i was the first person out there. it sucked. the rain killed them. there were puddles and shit stains everywhere. So since it was presidents day, they had big lamenated bills all over the place and if you got one you had to take it to the bar to get a prize. i saw like 10 of them but you could only use 1. i ended up winning a free Sam Adams t-shirt and a $10 voucher off an adult weekday twilight or dayh lift ticket. not bad i guess, even though i'll never use it. yeah thats all. it was day 50 for me. not bad. ok peace. PS- if anybody wants that $10 voucher let me know, i have no use for it and i could mail it to you or something if you are headed up on a weekday and dont feel like paying $50 for a ticket.

sounds good. i hope they can get a groomer in there before the comp because it is buck nasty in there. this morning was a disaster. haha. i really wish they would groom after the rain, not before, so that there wouldnt be so much cancer all over every lip/landing/etc.

they better not close that weekend. thats the only weekend all year that i can't ski. i'll be so pissed.

i hear ya. i'm not against having a 22' pipe at all in NEPA. i want to see it happen more than anything and i wish it was closer to home. i agree with you though, for the most part.

i'll be there for opening as well. i drive a 95 subie legacy with a rack all stickered up. i'll probably be in the bottom lot next to or near Doug. hope to see some people there for opening.

i dont know what that has to do with anything, but i'll take the rails if they were kept pristine... it would be nice if both pipe and rails were kept pristine.

i will be scary as hell. but all the pipes that i have ever ridden; the bigger, the better, the easier... if it is well maintained.

dude. you cant tell me that you wouldnt want your local mountain to have a 22' pipe. i know i would. there is nothing excessive about it. other mountains have 18' pipes and people go there to ride them. thats what Sno is hoping for and thats what will happen. i know i'll go there. there is a huge difference in temperature between Sno and Blue that makes Blue's pipe the icy mess that it is sometimes.

you should just go up later and then stay later so you dont have to ski alone... doug and i will be there in the afternoon. but it might be a little more crowded than going up now
