no i have a question... do you actually wear the fanny pack, on your fanny? or do you wear it on your stomach (which seems to be the more popular approach)

a lot of the locals were even saying that it isnt this good. they said that this is the best 2 weeks they have had in years. i see why you wouldnt want to go back with the unpredictable conditions. if it was like this all the time, i can see myself going back again.

i feel bad for all of the hate that camelback gets sometimes... but in this case, its well deserved.

woke up with at least 6 more inches of snow on the ground. it made for another great day. the snow was still so deep from the 15+ inches that we got yesterday, even with most of it being skied off. didnt take too many pictures today, so i'll show you a decent one of dan dropping off a nice size rock. i dont know what our plans are for tonight, maybe head into jackson, maybe not. who knows. forcast is calling for at least another foot over night into early tomorrow morning before lunch. one of the ski patrolers here rode up the gondola with us and told us to expect 12 by the morning opening, and we also heard to expect up to 20 inches by the time the storm is over. i just hope i dont get delayed coming home. stoke level right now is pretty damn high. this picture can be decieving, i should have zoomed out. the landing is still another 10 feet below where he is into fresh powder. by the way, it is puking snow on us right now as i look out the window.

one word can describe today: ok i lied. NO word can describe today, not even epic. so day three. lets see... i guess i can start off by saying that the mountain got anywhere from 15-18" of snow depending on where you were. holy shit. such a good day. definitely the best ski day of my life. not only was there over a foot of snow, but it just added to the snow that they got the last few days, making some of the trees filled with waiste deep powder. dan and i went to breakfast at the Mangy Moose and then got in line for the gondola at 8:15. it didnt open until 9:17 but it was worth the wait. so much snow everywhere. i'll post some pictures instead of giving more of a report. so anyway, we stayed out until 2ish, and then came in and ordered pizza cuz we were beat and didnt want to move. huge crowds in line for an early morning. knee to waist deep. i insist, be jealous. i blasted through a wind-lip. and Dan blasted off a rock. and i'll finish off with this awesome shot i got of Dan... hopefully this will keep the stoke alive back there in PA with the warm weather... enjoy.

So here is a report since we got here in good ole' Jackson Hole. Sunday we finally got here. My flight came in a little later than it should have and when we landed it was the scariest time of my life. Going 50mph+ on a snow covered runway and eventually spinning almost 180 degrees before we stopped. So that was my adventure. Dan's adventure started with a cancelled flight from SLC so he and a bunch of other guys had to drive up here. Day 1: about 3 or 4 inches fell Sunday night into early Monday morning. That topped off all the snow that fell previously. We spent most of the day checking things out and searching for some untracked snow. We definitely found some. Ran into papasteeze and the nipler too. We also found a few nice cliff drops ranging from 5-15ft. they were so nice and now we are addicted to them. It was a pretty sunny day and temps didn't go over 15-20 so the snow was still nice. After the mountain we took the bus into Jackson to find some food to eat and stop at Albertson's. we are at a place called Billy's Burgers and it was soooooo good. We came back here to watch the BCS game and passed out around 8:30. haha. Day 2: cloudy and cold for most of the morning. Around 10 it started to snow and we headed into to lunch and add an other layer of clothes. Our run back to the place we found the best snow on the mountain that was almost completely untouched. I'd tell you where it was but that's our little secret now. After we went back out we hit up some areas above that and found some nice rocks/cliffs to drop. Took a few snapshots for you to all enjoy once we get back or maybe before then. By the time we were ready to come in we tallied up about 6 inches of snow and it made everything so much nicer than before. We took the same run back to our place that we did before lunch and enjoyed the knee-deep powder and then headed to the Mangy Moose for some good food. So how is the weather back there in PA? I'm sure its nice for goggle tans with all that sun and heat. Ps- we are supposed to get 12-15 inches of snow tonight

gusts are different. he is right. my flight was cancelled into jackson valley (along with a lot of others) because of the winds gusting too high. imagine it on the mountain. he is for real for once.

Planning a trip to JFBB on 1/8... 58 degrees?
toast21602 replied to deboarder's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
i dont use that shit. i have two terms: 1) icy death= boilerplate. 2) good= anything but icy death. it will be fine. go enjoy it while you can. you cant ski spring conditions everywhere! only in pa! -
