  1. its alot easier to chip it and to catch up on it. you will be replacing it 100x more often if you dont have some sort of simple coping on the side, even if its pvc
  2. both mountain's parks are going to be sick next year though. i'm anxious to head to bear a few times to actually ski and maybe compete.
  3. didnt he say that he will get a park pass if they have them? i think that makes him a "park guy" making him "unimportant?".... but we already dont find him very important based on his uneducated posts. i should block his posts so i dont have to fill my mind with unimportant and worthless information from somebody who doesnt know anything about what goes on in the parks.
  4. there arent going to be 7s thrown in the intermediate devision. Justo throws 5s on a regular basis but has never done anything more than a 7 (which isnt very often) he still goes in the expert division. if you are capable of doing 9's... it seems rediculous to be entering into intermediate... isnt he sponsored? you dont see sponsored atheletes participating in intermediate categories. and if you are complaining about the "sandbagging in the beginner devision throwing 3s and 5s.... its pretty much the same as going into the intermediate devision when you can spin 7s and 9s.
  5. Blue Mountain the True Mountain! I thought management did a great job this yeah when compared with yours in the past. they were open about 2 weeks longer than most mountains around here, the park was amazing, and improvements next year are a step in the right direction. good work Blue, keep up the good work.
  6. very well said.
  7. it has nothing to do with age Papa... nips should be with the experts and you know it. anybody who can spin a 9 shouldnt be with intermediate kids
  8. he is my roomate.. he told me he wasnt when i asked him... but who knows.... i'll ask again
  9. yes. he and a few other employess that work there read this. Chris is one of the people who is able to help push the cause.
  10. and a bunch of 20 year old kids who know everything about how a mountain should be run huh? that was never said. we just know everything about how a terrian park should be run, maintained, and patrolled... something that Blue is still working on. but there are some people who dont think that the sport should progress and people getting hurt from people who dont belong in the park is okay. And this "bunch of 20 year old kids" is part of the reason for the progression of the sport... what have you done lately?
  11. you would have thought you were talking to Justo? why? because its somebody who knows what they are talking about and is more knowledgable about the sport than you are? yeah i see what you mean. at least you are one of the most immature people on here. its pretty awesome. you are a close second right behind Cadillac.... oh wait...
  12. the turn wasnt a problem at all. its just that it was so warm and the snow was really slow. otherwise, speed isnt an issue and you really didnt lose any speed because it was so mellow.
  13. they are going to have multiple hits to cater to the novice and intermediate groups, as well as the larger hits for experts. you can hit either lip no matter what you sign up in... at least thats what i last heard from Andy on NS.
  14. and as for people not wanting the park pass... they are up to 4. awesome! prove yourself wrong again, please.
  15. if you dont care about park passes then please don't comment with your worthless posts thinking how you are right about everything.
  16. you got my death in there. im right after justin. haha. i died pretty hard. maybe next time i'll pole the whole way isntead of stopping...
  17. dude... a 4yo did it, twice. i think you could have handled it.
  18. i really dont see any extremely convincing posts that argue why there should not be park passes... but there seem to be an abundance of posts that clearly show the need for them
  19. i completely agree. i dont see how somebody who didnt participate in the event can criticize it. i dont know of any people that participated in the event that didnt enjoy it the way it was, and if somebody didnt enjoy it, there is something wrong with them because it is by far the best thing Blue has put out there since i have been skiing there.
  20. Blue isnt going to make wider lips until park passes are implemented. wider lips mean more people using them as jumps. it would make it so much easier for idiots to hit them as jumps and screw us over then it is now and they will be more inviting to them as well.
  21. i had the same idea this year.... Jake didnt listen to my thought.
  22. oh, you people are so funny. doubting the size what the jumps used to be, based on what you saw last week.
  23. yeah i couldnt find it either. i measured the last booter to be about 54 feet last week as opposed to the 72 feet that it was a month ago. those people at Blue lie about the size of stuff.
  24. rock on, see ya at the party.

my skis (Foils) are an 85 waist and they ski great all-mountain... they don't so much anymore because the edges are about as sharp as a cue ball from hitting rails. But, they ski great in powder, slush, and even hardpack when they had edges. I dont know how they compare but i dont think that the width under your foot is going to have too much of an effect on how they ski.
