  1. nah i'm not like Doug Blue is crowded enough... im gonna start sending people to CB
  2. i agree with that.... but who would make that decision? ski patrol? HA. i saw ski patrol ride down of the middle of the stairs. they ahve no idea whats going on in the park. if that duty were given to the park crue.. that would be a different story.
  3. i thought Blue was great today.... from like 11-4 when it was softening up it was perfect. after that though it started to get a little more solid. the park was still really good though.
  4. parents are over-rated sometimes. live a little.
  5. thats actually a very good point.
  6. scratch the idea of skiing boulder.... they charge 25 bones for night skiing and dont give a student discount... thats lame... screw Boulder and the "z-games"
  7. i want some good reasons on why people DONT want park passes... hopefully nobody thinks that way though.
  8. what about ski club nights? c'mon now. sometimes i would rather ski the park on a saturday afternoon rather than a weeknight because those kids think that it would be so cool jsut to ride through the park... and they do it without any thought process at all, and just do whatever the hell they want.
  9. i actually think i might be going to Boulder for the z-games.... not sure though... if not... i'll be at Blue sometime after my microbiology lab ends at 2:15..
  10. some places do it already... whatever it takes to get people out of the park...
  11. oh it was a lovely experience... at least it didnt hurt. and my mom cleaned my pants and jacket from the rust that was rubbed into it... i'll just have to pick them up on my way to the mountain tomorrow...
  12. charging people money for a pass isnt going to alleviate the problems in the park. making them watch a video that teaches them how to behave in the park might have a greater effect. i know if i was a rich bitch that came from the city with my family they would pay $5 for me to ski in the park even if i had no idea what was going on. its not the money that will prevent the crap that goes on in the park... its the informational video. yeah i had a word or two with him...
  13. 90% of the people in there dont know the rules
  14. many places that have park passes require somebody to sit through a 15 min video and learn park etiquette and there is no fee for the pass. this gets rid of the people that only come on weekends from Jersey and shouldnt be in the park. for people who want to ski the park and dont want to sit through the video... thats what the lower park is for. the whole reason behind the park pass is to keep the park safe from people who dont belong in there. i probably hurt some guy today when i landed on him because he was an asshole and skis behind the lip and then onto the landing while i'm spinning. i'm glad it happened to him. maybe now he wont ski in the park. either people can learn the hard way... or there can be park passes implemented to keep people who dont belong, out.
  15. exactly.
  16. gap on should be preferable for anybody that uses the park. ride on stuff just isnt challenging. a lot of people can just ride right onto a rail and 50/50 it. id like to see them try to jump 6 feet onto one. hahaha
  17. i can tell this is going to be a heated topic... and i know that some people are going to hate me once i get started.
  18. skiing anywhere at night when it is 25 degrees after it was 55 degrees all day isnt something you want to do again.
  19. i have written in plenty of times for the last 2 or 3 years. multiple times each year. it has gotten better this year with the addition of things that arent ride on and no tables, just booters... but its still not keeping people out... today somebody decided it would be a good idea to hit the 60 foot booter going 2 mph because they though they could just roll over the lip... boy were they in for a surprise when they fell 8 feet to a hard icy surface. hahahahaha. thats what you get when you dont belong.
  20. i like that idea. if i get up there and i see a huge line for the challenge chair and nothing for the quad i'll know you did your job. haha.
  21. you could hike the mountain, take the challege lift, suck it up, or ski camelback.. but they might clsoe again if its too cold out.
  22. it would cost the mountain the hourly wages to pay the ticket checker at the top of the park. there is no need to charge for the park pass but some places that have them do charge (mountain creek). i dont think it would be a question of how much they should charge to make a profit because if they institute a park pass, i would think that it would increase the number of people coming to the mountain to use the park because they wouldnt have to worry about idiots that dont belong. once the park passes are implemented they can also increase the difficulty level of the park because there wont be people in there that dont have a damn clue what they are doing. that too will also increase the ammount of people that are coming to use the park and pay for a ticket. the park the Blue has right now is pretty damn good and there are people coming from other mountains to hit it... imagine what they could do to make it better if they implemented a park pass where they didnt have any liability issues for people that dont belong there? it could be heaven.
  23. amen
  24. today at Blue was great but tonight started to suck with all of the ski clubs that came up and the kids going through the park that shouldnt be there. i dont know how many time i can cut off while hitting stuff or how many kids just ran into me because they dont know how to stop yet. IF YOU CANT FREAKIN SKI/BOARD THEN GET YOUR ASS OFF OF SIDEWINDER. thats how people get hurt. its rediculous. everything was perfect until while i was hitting the flat-down-flat rail some awesome 16 year old snowboarder (who is probably sponsered by Hell because he got some sick air off of the lip to the rail) cut me off as i was jumping on to the rail and i fell. i'm tired of people being places where they dont belong. it would be like me going down raceway when the race team is practicing.... i dont do it... and neither should they. its rediculous and i'm tired of it. another thing. on the first jump on sidewinder i waited to drop and when i did i called it. of course that means NOTHING to somebody who sucks at life and skis sidewinder as a slalom course. they seemed to have a brilliant idea that skiing behind the lips of the jumps and onto the landings would be a fun game to play... until i did a 180 and landed on them. again... if you dont know what the hell you are doing in the park then get out. its not a place to watch people who know what they are diong and mess them up because you suck, its a place for people who know what they are doing to progress and get better. if you want to ski sidewinder.. learn to hit stuff in the lower park first. if you want to ski sidewinder as a trail. dont. there are 30 other trails that you can use. let me have my one. and you can have your 30. sorry for rambling... but i'm pissed
  25. it broke down because the transmission on it blew, not because it derailed. its fine now that they repaired it and got a new transmission.
