  1. what would make all that better is if Bear had more vert than the hill behind my house.... sounds okay though if it happens
  2. http://e-carpet.com/heavy_duty_outdoor_carpet.htm
  3. its like carpet. astroturf carpet. and it costs about 3 g's for a roll. and yes, the box he has now is sick.
  4. isnt it kind of essential to pop off the lip? i would think that would make things easier for you.
  5. 5s definately look better when they are corked than 3s do.
  6. they have and 18+.... are you scared of us younger guys Doug?
  7. thats hillarious trevor.... but i like the idea of handing out flyers and talking to people... it will make the park alot better and people might not be such dicks as much
  8. usually smaller ones and some step-ups and whatnot
  9. that thing is a joke right now. when they have the skiercross the completely redesign the whole thing and it starts from the top of lower sidewinder and ends at the bottom of the park. it can actually be pretty sick.

    Bears jumps

yeah man definately go up tomorrow. it should be nice. there are 2 decent sized booters there and another nice one up top. if its still soft when you get there (which it probably will be because it was soft when i left 30 minutes ago) then you should skip the lower park because its nothin great and hit the pipe. it was pretty sick tonight and a huge improvement on last years. you will satisfied if you go up tomorrow.
  11. yeah Blue is sick this year. probably the best park i have skied at besides Mount Snow

    Bears jumps

gonna be tough to stay number one this year with the crappy weather. again i skied with kids from bear tonight because Blue's park is better. not bragging or anything... i think its awesome how there can be two mountains so close to each other with great parks.
  13. just got back from Blue and got cut off about 15 times (not kidding) when trying to hit rails because people think that the gaps on to them are jumps that they can launch off of and flatbottom. sweet. park pass? PLEASE.
  14. i would suggest putting a series of rails or rails up top where the flat down is now so you have more than one option of a rail to hit. also, put the battleship on a table with a lip on to it. i dont know what new rails are being cranked out but something that is simple and really fun is a nice long flat rail kinda like boulder's 30 foot flat rail. that thing is amazing. i know its hard to do any of this stuff without new snow but hopefully the park will improve even more than it has already when compared with last years.... keep up the good work
  15. if they can do it in vermont or out west why not in PA? its not like there isn't a freestyle scene here, and right now Blue has the best park i have ever skied (with the exception of Mount Snow).
  16. glad to see that you have changed your opinion and now see why us park rats get pissed all the time...
  17. 53 feet lip to knuckle... park crew measured it. its big
  18. ever think that maybe those kinds of people shouldnt be in the park? most of the "little kids" that go through the park dont belong there and have no place being there. very few of them use the features as more than just a "jump". and if they build the 75' jump it is only going to be up around the time of the slopestyle. i really dont see why anybody would be against a jump of this size and allowing somebody to progress
  19. even if there arent you should still come and check it out. i just got back from killy a few days ago and Blue's park is better than anything they have up there right now. the rails are alot better as well. they have really stepped up their game this year people couldnt clear it before because the snow was slow and slushy. today it was necessary to speed check because you would be going too fast and overshoot it from starting by the up-flat rail. the whole jump set would be great for Blue to put in because even if you dont have the balls to attempt the 75' hit you have two smaller sizes that are still available...
  20. at least you get a discount with your pass.... doesn't happen at Blue.
  21. roping off the jump would be ideal if they want to keep it up and running. if they dont i think there is a good chance people will get frequently hurt. maybe something this big will give the people the idea that the park isnt for for spectators and families to bring their kids to to try and hit the jumps.... it seems to be working for that 53' jump... i have only seen like 3 people roll over that lip and plummet to their death and i spend most of my time in the park.

    Parks

nice... i hope i'm able to make it down once this year if the weather ever helps you guys out...
  23. directly from a park crew member that i know: once they can blow more snow... the 45 foot table and the jump before it will be taken down and a 3-lip jump will be made in place... 1 being 35 feet long, another 55, and the big booter will be 75 feet. if they are actually allowed to build that they better rope it off because im tired of trying to weave my way through parents who think it is cool to bring all 13 of their children through the park. and if people dont start to leanr to call their drops i have a feeling medivac will be there every day.

    Parks

from the videos and pictures that i have seen of roundtops park this year... it doesnt look any better than my backyard. everything seems so small, low to the ground, and ride-on crap... is that just the beginner park or something that people film in? if thats the only park then i dontk now why people keep talkin up the park there when it looks like that.
  25. i hear it is running now.... but with nobody on it
