thats my girlfriend, Marcy i can at least pretend it is..
-
night skiing does suck, but this week it might not be so bad wtih the unfortunate warm temps.
-
yeah its supported with plywood.. its pretty beastly and wont break unless somebody HUGE stomps on it. i think the diameter of each pvc is 5 or 6 inches on mine
-
me... i suck.. haha... i'm still learning. i pretty much didnt even touch rails last year
-
park was sick today... minus the new downkink box that had no lip.. i killed myself on that.
-
kevin probably should have put the clip of me hitting the battleship box even though i almost died skiing out of it
-
the PVC i used is 1/4 inch thick and isnt even close to cracking... and probably never will...
-
thats the problem... who has $100 to spend on a backyard setup... i spent about $15 on mine and it does the job
-
made first rail out of a shopping cart corral that i took from work and the other out of two 12ft peices of PVC... and its amazing http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/index.p...&cmd=si&img=578 http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/index.p...&cmd=si&img=579

possibly.. i dont remember. whatever. i'm sure i'll be seeing you in the park multiple times throughout the season. oh yeah, and whats the news with the halfpipe? anybody know?
-
yeah i thought so. i thought the setup was pretty sick and done pretty well. i only hit it twice because i was teaching my friend how to ski but when i hit it i loved both sides of it.
-
kevin and justin thomas, ryan miller, corey, trevor, jake.... pretty much all of the skiers/boarders who do FreeRiders and the park crew guys
-
yeah the stairs are pretty amazing... there were some boarders sessioning it earlier today and they were pretty sick. it was probably you and your gang that i saw
-
dude, Blue's park is fine minus the width.
-
a lot of it is burried in the snow and it isnt set up right... it should be on a huge table thats why it looks smaller than normal... its crazy long though. 45 feet is beastly
-
gorilla steeze...
-
yeah man, i completely agree. doug, ski with my crew up at Blue and you will see why they are so necessary.... especailly once the skiclubs start and the busses of out-of-towners start rolling in
-
it would be amazing if it was on paradise... but they will never sacrifice that trail for a park... especially since they built a permanent wall ride on sidewinder
-
what were you dissapointed with? everything was good and set up perfectly
-
not ride on... thank god... thats the way it should be. hopefully people dont go carving over the lips and using them as rollers.
-
word Trevor... so true... yet nobody understands

through the park: - nice gap onto downking box that was up top last year - a jump with two different hits, a small and big one - hip on the left side around the turn - 45-foot battleship box - natural hip on the right that was there since there wasnt even a park - roller to get speed - wall at the bottom around the turn *in the new section that they widened... - option of hitting new downkink box or hitting a decent size jump (no kick to the lip) - huge 45+ foot table -hip on the left side of the turn not everything is out yet.... i'm thinkin the stairs will be placed near the last turn heading down towards lazy... hopefully they put out more rails
-
lets think about this a little bit... 1) no jumps on the first straight-away... would you rather land on nicely groomed soft snow or an icy wind-blown landing when you have no control in the air because of random husts of wind coming up the face..... i choose the soft snow. and the second table was on the second straight-away... the first table that you are thinking of was for the drop rail that they took down halfway through the season. 2) why no ride on rails? believe it or not, ride on lips for rails are easy and dont require as much skill as an actual gap would. try spinning onto a rail that is ride on as opposed to one that that has a nice 3+ foot gap and a nice lip..... a little easier than the ride-on crap. 3) enough space between the features to get enough speed to avoid flat landings??? you had plenty of speed to hit the jumps last year if you just skated in a little bit (except for the first hit on sidewinder because wind was always being blasted in your face... see #1) and landing flat has nothing to do with lack of speed... i think you might be refering to "decking out" which is when you dont have enough speed... and believe me.. that shouldnt happen on any of the jumps that were built last year. it may not be better this year... give it time... but at least they will try and actually care this year... whats the worst that could happen? two amazing parks at Blue and Bear... i like the sound of that!

the whole point of the video is for people to understand that they arent the only people who use the park and how to be courteous to other who are also there... if people have to watch a video to get their park pass.. it will prevent the first time weekend skiers/riders from going through the park and trashing it and hurting themselves or others. the only thing that is ludicrous is not wanting to watch a 20-minute video, which would keep the park in more or less immaculate shape and prevent huge flocks of people from wedging their way through
-
yeah and its just going to make both of them better
