  1. I can attest that Atomic jeffs skis are stable as fuck and solid high speed carvers if you're a fast skier...my mantras were pretty much perfect this morning and they are also 184s and 96 underfoot. Slalom skis would have been fine his morning it's just they have a speed limit on them. As for the binding brake issue about three years ago the same thing happened and it was resolved with a screw driver..and after skiing Atomic Jeff made sure both of my pairs of skis bindings were fine and I'll have him put his famous 3 degree glove ripping bevel on them both soon..anyway not the first time I've had a couple of screws loose. Eaf you should just buy a season pass to blue. All the night passes you buy must be adding up and also buy some midfats for the sugar blue is famous for. Once they stop blowing snow it will make a comeback.
  2. I skied 7 runs in the first 56 minutes and then another 7 or so runs by 10:10am despite the ski snafu..I had maybe two runs total where people preventing me from skiing as fast as I wanted and didn't wait in any lines. That's empty to me. Should be more of the same tomorrow AM. Holiday crowds show up much later especially the day after Christmas when everybody is hungover from the holidays. People were spilling in at 1030-11..a nice Asian family in a van got Atomic jeffs spot.
  3. I just brought my beers inside because I'm nervous they'll freeze overnight..matt edge will be in the house tomorrow!!!
  4. I've bet Justin lee before. He was with my old friend Amanda seyfried at Stooges a couple years ago.
  5. How was it funny? Yeah I must of missed something.
  6. Erie PA received more than 50" of snow in the last two days
  7. Jackson hole is starting to open up new terrain after about 30" of new snow this week. 6 new runs opened this morning bringing the total to 69 of 131...more new terrain will open in the coming days and I predict near 100% by January 5th
  8. Be back tomorrow for opening gonna be cold tonight I'll have to bring my beers inside or they could freeze.
  9. Hey All, I'm back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I rocked out to Lil Pump and Huey Lewis and the News on the drive up and I arrived in the lower lot at 7:26AM and a second later Indiggio arrived followed by Atomic Jeff, Shadows, Toast, Slim, Root and a random guy who got to ride first chair with the PASRs. I was on the mantras and they loved challenge but I would have enjoyed challenge on snowblades today as it was majestic to start. Not many times I ski challenge four times in the first hour usually it's a once and done wham bam thank you mam today I didn't want to just hit it and quit it I'd rather stay and play when in came to challenge.. Main Street was good but a little dark similar snow to challenge especially on the bottom..lazy mile and paradise were alright a little slow..snow guns were cranking in Central Park, switchback, razors edge and nightmare to dreamweaver. Everything will be open in the next 48-72 hours you heard it here first. I only skied sidewinder once early..it was alright..but not as good as the others so I didn't return but I'm glad sidewinder is back in the lineup for me. I skied it sometimes when it was a terrain park and used to get mad steeZy air a decade+ ago but it's a nice run when they widen the corners it will be a winner. Shadows was on my shiros the first hour and a half or so just comparing different types of skis then he switched to atomic jeffs Kastles and Jeff was on my shiros and was pushing it to the limit on Main Street.wne midrun released from one of the skis and the ski went in a straight line for no less than 350 vert from the end of the bumps almost to where switchback cuts into Main Street. Atomic Jeff was ok I skied down retrieved my ski from a snowmakers who happened to see it all happen only some minor topsheet damage to the ski..shadows picked up the brake that was near the ejection site and Atomic Jeff skied down on one ski then back to the base on both but missing a brake on one. A screwdriver and an engineer and all was fine. Then I went in the lodge to use facility shadows returned my skis to his car sans brake on one ski and got his skis and we did a few more runs...Challenge was icy at this point around 10am then did lazy mile which was still ok and no real lip on the falls for the Toast and Indiggio to get mad steeZy air off of. Had a beer in the lot then Root came to the lot had another beer was going to go to the BMDI with shadows and Atomic Jeff but closed..stopped at work on the way home took take in the mail and now thinking about if I'm gonna need another layer tomorrow gonna be mad brick.
  10. This video shows how sick the locals are and if you watch till the end can see a little liftline discussion.
  11. Nice are you filling in for a friends paper route Root? We always used to be open the week between xmas and New Years but the phone would ring like two times a day and maybe sell 3-4 tombstones for the week max so we've closed this week for the last few years. I have a nice stretch of not working that much through the beginning of February..me and office manager are gonna alternate between leaving early this winter as much as possible...
