  1. Oh fuck sorry for tainting this thread with Vermont talk.
  2. Maybe you'll get a nice pow pow day at Stowe..shit gets tracked out fast up there so be sure to arrive before 730am on a pow day and wait in line for first quad chair. If you don't arrive until 8am start at the gondola as that doesn't open until 830am
  3. Wow I'm guessing you didn't take 78 to 287 to 87 to 28
  4. I already signed him up for this years Bump and Jump..
  5. You know what's not faster than any of us..a walkie talkie..radio down to patrol base and set up a clothesline..and send us ass over teakettle. Mad Homer Simpson...doh!!
  6. Haha and that was early season when I wasn't even skiing that fast and I wasn't even in a tuck lol
  7. It's been proven than becoming a ski patroller makes you a worse skier. At least at Blue.
  8. 24 degrees in the A and the freezing rain has turned over to big fat flakes..this is great I believe our 7th snowfall so far this winter.
  9. Salty you should try out to be a ski patroller at Blue.
  10. Freezing rain in Allentown. Looks like some flakes are flying at Blue mountain.
  11. Nice did you wrestle your wife around in the snow as well lol
  12. I don't believe eagle rock was public while PoconoOceanCity skied there..he rented a house there.
  13. No that's a solo trip...and Salty odds are pretty slim that you'll even get any powder to ski out west. My suggestion is the next time we get snow make it to Camelback for first tracks and enjoy it. It's a learning experience it takes a lot of days of skiing powder to figure it out. It's the exact opposite of skiing hardpack..you don't use your edges you just shift your weight and yes I recommend powder skis and also take a powder clinic in addition to a racing clinic, mogul clinic, ski ballet clinic and an adult cooking class at the local community college.
  14. Unfortunately Turner mountain only has a 30" base and only 3" of new snow...open weekends only.
  15. A shame Turner mountain is 7 hours from Bozeman..
  16. Good they need more lower elevation snow to get the Hobacks and lower faces open.
  17. Bridger bowl and big sky? I don't think I skied anything off the map out there I only ducked the boundary ropes once at bridger bowl and ended up in the cross country center
  18. Yeah warmer weather and Doc martins day weekend..on days where I don't have work I need that fresh cord and uncrowded early runs...I do take some epic naps on ski days..
  19. They did a shitty job grooming sidewinder mid Saturday morning...they had five groomers on it and it was a pretty haphazard and rushed grooming job. Im still thinking about those first three runs on challenge yesterday and the several chalky ten out of ten runs on nightmare dreamweaver..one NMDW run was it was crowded it seemed like the 30mph skiers were staying to the left in the middle section letting the faster skiers stay right..and surprisingly with 30 people on the trail nobody was in my way in the sharp lefthander.. i should be back at Blue mountain the true mountain tomorrow night.
  20. 10:51AM start not bad. That's the time the Jerrys arrive. This is somethibg id want to try...the alpine slide at Camelback was rad. When I was 9 years old I did it twice with my camp group and I liked it so much that I chose to go there for my birthday and got an all day pass. That's when I first started getting into elevations and vertical drops and what not. Previously it was a foreign concept.
  21. 10:51AM start not bad. That's the time the Jerrys arrive.
  22. Just wait till the spring when the fraggles emerge from the parking lot and Beau is handing out Jell-O shots.
