  1. You started the rad tags and one day I'll forget to tag Blue rad. How was Camelback today??? Closest Chinese buffet to Blue is likely Sakura buffet in Whitehall by the worlds most ghetto fabulous CiCis pizza buffet. I made the most of this weekend as next weekend I'll be in Virginia visiting family but then I have 7 straight days at Blue and it's gonna be good!!!! i sometimes forget people who were in attendance. If I forget to give PARidge a shoutout he calls me out on that.
  2. Sallycat were you skiing at Blue today?? We had quite the sausage fest in the lower lot.
  3. Weekday skiing is great it's a slippery slope if you quit you don't get unemployment but if you get fired you get unemployment but have to explain to prospective employers why you were let go.
  4. Looks empty...is almost everything open??
  5. Hey All, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. When I arrived at 7:25am it was around 29 degrees under overcast sky's and the guns were turned off due to the moist and warmish weather. In the house were JFBBDan, Matt Edge, TP4, Ryan, Enjorales, Enjorales Dad, Johnny Law, PARidge, MBike Mike, Atomic Jeff, TP4, Shadows, NMSki, Atomic Jeff, Root, Toast, Slim, GahSkier George, Pheong, Natasha, Leroy and Harry..also a couple Gary's. First civilian chair again and I began the day skiing on Matt Edge Rossi 88s which I had fun on a few seasons ago. I also skied a run on Atomic jeffs Kastles..and was back on the shiros for several runs as well to mix things up. First run on challenge was better than yesterday the cookies and snow dried out a little and wasn't quite as firm but was still lipstick on a pig as it cookied up later. Paradise was also better than yesterday good for a few runs. Lazy mile and both Main streets continued to have the best conditions and were some runs not to busy and some runs crazy. No lifelines but a decent amount of people and blue is selling a good amount of tickets and tubers out as well enjoying the mild December day..gosh in the lot it was downright warm and Enjorales served up Bratwurst, pork and beef and all very good...had some good beers and was on my way home by 1230pm..as ice cube once said..Today was a good day!!!
  6. Mack Trucks is hiring at their Macungie plant if you wanna do truck assembly. Starts at $19 an hour. I know someone who makes $75,000 a year with overtime there. The Allentown school district is hiring English as a second language teachers if you are fluent in Spanish. They just got a few hundred new students from Puerto Rico. Red Robin, Boston Market when chic fil A are also hiring. I'll pay you $20 an hour to help me with filing..I only need you for one hour..
  7. Camelback really only has 6 runs open?? Target has cases of bottled water for only $2.89 I'll help dump them in the snowmaking pond. Blue should be darn close to 100% open by midweek.
  8. Theres only one true mountain and that's Blue mountain which is often imitated but never duplicated. Nice report salty..I read every word then ran your report through google translated and read it in hieroglyphics how do you like skiing the glades? When you go to Stowe I'll direct you to some easier glades.

  10. Also it might be a little late in the season to get into being an instructor because I imagine they already had their instructor training clinic. Being an instructor is hard work, you need on snow training, classroom training, have written tests, I believe you have to pay a nominal fee for the jacket as well. It's a labor of love some are instructors for the commaraderie or to improve their skiing..also for the free season pass, pro discounts on gear and I believe instructors families get free or very cheap season passes as well.
  11. I don't think anymore terrain tomorrow. They aggressively got challenge and paradise open today..maybe lower sidewinder and Central Park for tomorrow. Will take some time for sidewinder and razors to open and then they'll finish up with nightmare dream weaver, widow maker, chute and switchback
  12. When you are a ski instructor you only get paid for the hours you are teaching so if you are at Blue for 8 hours and teach for only 3 hours you only get paid for those hours. I also know at a place like Blue most don't tip and based on your ski level you're gonna be mostly teaching first time on skis lessons. Have you bartended before?? That's where the cash $$$$ is
  13. That's the only way I ski it. Same with the sharp turns on burma. Wednesday night one run there were a few snowboarder picnicking a.20'feet after that turn.
  14. No because I'm a rapper. I only sing with the ladies and it's ranged from Human League to Tom Petty
  15. Nice report..I personally like skiing the full lazy mile and the hard left handed is spicy...
  16. I can't wait to read SaltyAnts Camelback report!!!
  17. Thanks RideDE and welcome back!!!
  18. Hey All, I'm back from a fun Saturday at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 728AM and JFDan was already there and also in the house were Atomic Jeff, Toast, Johnny Law, Nastar Glenn, Ryan, Justo, GSSucks, Enjorales, Enjorales dad, Ty, Indiggio, Rodney, MBike Mike, Mrs. Snowbunski and many more. Temperatures were around ten degrees to start and rose through the teens. First run was challenge..I easystyled it as it was solid..and cookes but double diamond terrain what what. Main Street was the run of the day at least early on. Was nice cord on the top half and chalky on the low half. There was a fog layer around lower terrain run which made things spicy. Paradise is open as well and will get good in a day or two but the typical first day roughness. Lazy mile has good snow and is crazy mile with the race team doing their snakes..the falls got steeper over the summer and Burma got longer I kid I kid but Burma and back was fun and then I skied a lot more Main Street runs and finished out on lazy to the falls to the men's room to the parking lot to dank beers..and tomorrow will be more of the same and conditions should even be better and will be a little warmer.
