  1. Thanks Eaf!!! You're alright.
  2. I thought most people these days get unlimited data. I've always had unlimited data. Anyway Salty is still undecided about if he wants to switch from Camelback to blue after today's long liftlines but normally the lines aren't than long and we have VIP lines for passholders on the quad and six pack.
  3. Most go for the Main Street chair cause it's slightly faster and they didn't get Burma side open. Only the six pack would have been able to handle today's crowd m
  4. Hey All, I'm back from a fun Sunday morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the upper lot around 7:25am and in the house were Toast, AtomicJeff, JFBB Dan, TP4, Guitar, SaltyAnt, Matt Edge, Root, Indiggio, MBike Mike, Mrs. Snowbunski, Nastar Glenn and many many many many more. Yesterdays predicted 1-3" turned out to be 6+ inches of snow across the region which brought out all the Tom Dick and Harry's. Conditions were very nice right out the gate and the only true hardpack was upper Main Street which debuted for the season today. Easy out, vista, come around, midway and Main Street were all nice midwinter conditions..the top of lazy mile was great bottom a little bit narrow still good just have to be careful passing people. Liftlines went from zero to 100 real quick. Most waits were like 5-12 minutes after about 8:45am was impossible to keep both lifts at full capacity with just two scanners but I had some nice runs am not complaining but I know people who got there after like 930-10 were only getting about 2.5 runs an hour which is rare but happens with a early snowfall with limited capacity I quit around 10am and even did the vista once for stoke and got some untracked..fun parking lot session and good people watching today..temperatures began around 20 and rose through the 20s into the low 30s with moderate wins and partly sunny sky's. 6-pack and lower lodge and lot along with tubing will be on tap for next weekend along with 7 days a week operation..high five for stoke pass it down.
  5. As I get older I have less and less inhabitions.
  6. He's a complainer.
  7. Buying skis in April is torture because you stare at them for 7-8 months.
  8. $547 with bindings here for those. Have you demoed them? Lots of skis online in the $200-$300 range. https://www.alpineshopvt.com/volkl-rtm-81-skis-with-marker-12-0-tcx-bindings-2017.html?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google+PLA&scid=scplp00821264610053&sc_intid=00821264610053&gclid=Cj0KCQiAsK7RBRDzARIsAM2pTZ_ZTSxMYQhLwxM-YrKkkBfMwyWK6JMaQRcb8bmZBBBP3usoTIEdBkUaAq1EEALw_wcB
  9. Good deals on skis online.
  10. I usually get hot and sour soup at buffets and I don't mess with the Chinese buffet sushi.
  11. Ditto SaltyAnt is the best poster alive
  12. Abasin actually just installed a rope tow there and I'll still likely skate along side the tow to see if I can go faster than the rope tow...
  13. So what if you're tired..imagine some of the uphill skating and sideways traversing out west...I'm a pro at skating from my days at the fun rink..at abasin there is a slight uphill run to get to the backside it's maybe 200 yards long and I skate and poll full blast past people 70 pounds lighter than me and in superior shape..it's cause I get after it and that's at 12,000 feet. My body can handle it better than my lungs.
  14. If you want to avoid midway with your daughter can take vista lift first and scootch over to lazy mile. I wish the Burma side of the liftline was open as that is typically a shorter line than the Main Street lift. Both lifts are running but only one liftline..which makes it impossible for all the chairs to be filled.
  15. Opening weekend not bad..last weekend a little bit worse today was first day with bad liftlines before 10am and first day the race team kids were out but with snow in the cities I expect tomorrow to be busy. The runs won't be as crowded as today with additional terrain open.
  16. Longer stiffer and wider skis will be faster. Wax only lasts a day or two..I'm lazy and barely wax my skis. I should more or at least use rub on wax I notice slow speed on unwaxed skis the most when it's fresh snow or spring snow..or new manmade followed by warmth. No issues with speed today at Blue even on easy out
  17. Early if you want better snow and no liftlines your first several runs..tomorrow there will be four routes down from the top at Blue. Hats off to the snowmakers!!! Alarm is set for tomorrow 5:55am wooo good thing I took a 3 hour long nap earlier.
  18. ok sorry missed that I like white rice. Rice rice baby..vanilla rice rice baby. My local Chinese buffet has a hibachi setup..you get the show without paying the dough lol
  19. In slow snow you have to straight run before a flat and as momentum slows start polling and skating..be happy you weren't on a snowboard..with fresh snow steepness and speed is your friend. any liftlines???
  20. I would have had something tasty to drink with the Chinese food. I like water but not with meals.
  21. OMG I just saw the fortune cookie and am laughing so hard!!!
  22. I would have had to poop after eating that.
  23. Nice report and no rice or noodles??? That was nice of you to tip $1!!!
  24. Aim for opening will be busy.
  25. The new snow should groom in well with the manmade. There was no wind with this snowfall it's so pretty and fluffy
