I never even went day skiing at Blue mountain until midway through my third season at Blue as all my trips up there were with ski club. I did Day ski my very first time skiing which was at big Boulder and during my second season skiing went to rocking horse ranch with family up near new paltz NY and they had a small ski hill with a rope tow that I hit up while my parents and sister were riding horses. The next season after that was my first big mountain skiing at Windham NY I studied that trail map more than Enjorales practices with his trivia team funny but absolutely positively true..

Heck they'll be open next week just like everywhere else from North Carolina to the North Pole...wahahahah

Often when night skiing the black diamonds have some of the best conditions because they get the least amount of traffic as most of the school kids are on lazy mile, paradise and the park. On a typical session I try to ski every Main run once and then return back to the ones that are the best. I've had times at Blue where razors edge was so good that I just skied that the entire time same with switchback.

Blue will be open for night skiing Saturday night. No idea other days but I believe the early season limited schedule will break with the cold air. Its 53 and raining moderately now..foggy as well..I'm also feeling farty.

Night skiing on the weekends can mean some craptastic conditions. If given the choice I'll always go first thing when I'm fresh but on work days no choice but to make night moves. You should start a roll call thread to see if anybody else is at Blue Saturday night.

Why night skiing? Do you have work Saturday?

One thing is for sure they'll have plenty of water in their snowmaking ponds.

Seriously and Blue never gives out cocoa and sugar cookies only fine meats and cheeses and November skiing.

They aren't gonna skip over upper Main don't worry because if they get upper Main open then they actually can up the trail count by two adding Barneys bumps as well.

Most of the PASRs have fat skis for out west. I had Nordica blowers for about five years and have had my shiros for almost four years. I ski them about half the time at Blue. The only thing they don't excel at is when it's firm cord. Last year in Jackson hole there wasn't much new snow and I was on my mantras out there a lot.

I haven't been on any skis under 88 underfoot in the last decade.

I straight run on my 193 length 119 underfoot shiros and they're great and when it's crowded can make lots of little doodly turns. Wider stance is key I notice a lot of older skiers have a very narrow stance

Trust me I've been watching snow melt for years. Fog eats snow and when it doesn't get near freezing at night the snow actually melts from the bottom as well due to the warm ground...trust me by tomorrow afternoon vista will be nearly bare as well as homestretch. Lower Main Street will be ok. Then the snowmakers will have their work cut out.

I'm not expecting the six pack and lower lot until mid next week

By Sunday most likely but they'll have to resurface existing terrain as well as a ton of snow is gonna melt in the next 36 hours. Vista will likely be almost completely melted out by tomorrow at this time. Wind warmth rain and fog

Maybe only night time temperatures for those areas until mid next week. Blue should be able to blow a good amount during the day time.
