  1. Mid 30s is not marginal snowmaking temperatures...
  2. Corbetts cabin at the summit of Jackson hole is completely covered in snow. http://unofficialnetworks.com/2017/05/03/jackson-holes-corbets-cabin-is-completely-buried-in-snow/
  3. Couldn't sugarbush have gotten a $40 million bank loan
  4. Blue needs park passes and black diamond passes.
  5. OMG I remember that...I'm laughing so hard I just sharted...
  6. Maybe weekend afternoons but I'm not there then. They used to have a coffee stand that didn't open until 10am
  7. Oh yeah that was the deal with Jay peak as well. Most of the immigrants in Allentown are poor as fuck.
  8. Blue already has a unique wedding venue and there are already tiny houses around the valley lodge. Anybody ever get anything from the fish and chips stand lol
  9. From chalfont northeast extension wouldn't make sense. From lansdale it does and it's like 23 minutes from Lehigh valley exit to lansdale and no traffic on that stretch.
  10. TP4 she's still gonna have to deal with 22 traffic from the turnpike to Bethlehem. That can add 20-30 minutes. Best solution would be for schif to live near his job and his wifey to live near her job and they can have a long distance relationship and if the long distance doesn't work they were never meant to be.
  11. No billboards allowed in Vermont. I had no idea the blue route was so new. Thanks for that TP4
  12. No fill me in on its history.
  13. How is it rich assholes fault??? Gotta love your positivity. I was trying to be nice and welcoming and then he'll realize later how much the commute will suck for him and his girlfriend lol. Oh well.
  14. gotta love your positivity lol.
  15. With easy pass the toll is $2.45 from lansdale to Lehigh valley interchange. That's about $25 per week. 309 takes a lot more time to get from the lansdale area vs 476 unless your girlfriend is working south of Bethlehem like center valley area 476 to 22 prob much faster.
  16. Just an FYI blue season passes are now $599 but sometime between now and the fall they are raising the price to $749.
  17. No water park at bear creek but they have a spa and a pool. Blue began building a $30 million dollar water park about four years ago. They cleared the land, had a rendering of what it would look like but what I heard is that the bank wouldn't give funding for the waterpark unless they had a hotel. I have heard the condos were going to have fractional ownership. That wouldn't work for most blue mountain skiers and riders because a 1/4 share in the condos would mean just 3-4 weeks of available use during ski season. They really need a hotel for the wedding venue. I bet they lose out on available weddings because there's no lodging on the premises.
  18. What is EB-5 money?
  19. Nice report!!! When I was in college sugarbush would stay open until May 1 and they used to just run the chair above the Mall..a few years way back like late 90s steins stayed open until Memorial Day. Back then the base was funky 70s and 80s style lodges not that fake farmhouse vibe that was added in the early 2000s.
  20. You had me at Huey Lewis and the News!!! Good to hear from you Schifdawg...my job is essentially supply chain management crossed with customer service. I like supply chain management because I like logistics and tracking things. Going back to school is pretty normal since most don't know what they wanna do with their lyfe when they're 18.. I know nothing about Harrisburg except that it's an hour and a half away..even though Harrisburg is in our 100 mile radius I have always had trouble getting funeral directors from the capital city. I've had dealers in reading and also Lebanon but I've always done best in the philly suburbs and all of a NJ due to the higher cost of living which makes Allentown prices extremely competitive. Up in schuylkill county and the area you grew up in along with the coal regions I have a difficult time due to demographics. As for your move the lansdale area is a popular locale for philly commuters and there are a lot of high end apartment complexes due to Merck and being an exit or two down 476 from the Philly mainline. Matt edge lives in lansdale and he makes it to blue in 55 minutes-an hour. Lansdale to Bethlehem is about 35-40 minutes. Chester would be a pretty equal length commute..with no traffic it's about a half hour. You wouldn't want to live in Chester anyway and if you were living in center city philly it would still take about as long to get to Chester but Bethlehem would be an hour and 15 to hour an a half. Market rates for rent in lansdale are gonna be in the $1,000-$1500 a month which isn't bad considering you have two incomes and no kids. From experience I know that apartment leasing managers hate having empty apartments so you might be able to negotiate an early move in(like a lease starting June 1 but you can move in mid May for no additional $$$$ and some even throw in a free month where you do a 13 month lease and the final months rent is free. I had that deal where I live now. Season pass at blue is a must...without one none of us would ski as much as we do. I haven't been on an official diet in a long time but I make solid choices to maintain my physique like skipping fries and onion rings and only getting one hash brown at McDonald's when I really want two. If you ever want to hike on the Appalachian trail let me know. I want to get back into it this summer mainly to get outdoors more.
  21. The people that showed up at 8 or even 9am got parking spots and I'm sure the people who showed up at 1pm after a late night flight on frontier airlines got spots as well.
  22. The boys hit day 149 yesterday at Loveland. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iioN5b7xXXY
  23. With 22" of new snow in the recent storm cycle their 34th storm of the year Abasin ran out of parking yesterday and coincidentally the last time that happened was the last Saturday in April last season after a storm cycle. So people who couldn't get parking had the option of parking down in keystone and the summit stage was running extra buses. Anyway the general manager Al who is the COO of Abasin was getting some nasty comments on social media including "your parking sucks" "you over market" and "you are an idiot". http://arapahoebasin.blogspot.com/2017/04/quite-day.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook&m=1 9 degrees at Abasin at 5am this morning brrrrrrr
