  1. If it's all you can drink take an uber.
  2. I think shadows started that one. If you are a millenial(under age 35) and make $60,000 per year you're in the top 10%. 21 weddings in 3 years. Wow just wow...must be a lot of your frat brothers. I haven't been to that many weddings in my entire lyfe.
  3. That's probably $100k in today's dollars. Last night at the bar this guy was bragging about how he makes $57k a year driving a truck..said he puts away $100 every paycheck into his savings account. I don't know why people tell people at the bar how much they make. My friend just married a doctor and she's some sort of specialist and works for the hospital. Her raise this year when she got promoted was a $60,000 increase which is like 20%..now that's a lot of money and they still shop at Costco.
  4. Wow there isn't tax on season passes here. That's cheap. I used to save all my ski skiing snow country and powder magazines for years. I don't think I've read a ski magazine in about 5 years. Ever since borders closed down
  5. Nice how much was the pass?? Have they ever received 400" in a season.
  6. Why the lol? I might have to go to Barnes and nobles and read the ski magazines.
  7. Are there blackout dates?? Some of the resorts out west are more like $150.
  8. Nice what mountains are on the max pass?? What's the cost of it?? I actually haven't been to Vermont in almost 7 years and I went to college there and used to ski there a couple trips a season. I do want to return to Stowe sometime again. I've just gotten into a routine the last several years of skiing Blue most of the season and Jackson hole in late January and Colorado in April and not driving much.
  9. Wow Sally and medical school graduates have much higher loan payments than that. I thought one of the benefits of being a teacher is the pension. I can only be a salesman..that's what I'm good at.
  10. $60,000 a year is $5000 a month...after taxes is about $3500...after retirement contributions and health insurance contributions is about $3,000 a month after $800 a month student loans is $2200 a month..car payment/insurance/gas/easyPass(she commutes to philly) maybe $600 a month down to $1600 then rent and bills and food not much left. That's why a lot of teachers work summer jobs. I'm a minimilist, I lived well when I was making $40k but never had debt.
  11. Kingslug from AlpineZone is in Chile. Yeah I'm a little jealous. Honestly nothing is stopping me from going except my laziness.
  12. Oh yeah. The first week of her summer break she was at a math conference all week..she got paid for it but still it cuts into summer break. Then she had a Lego conference for a few days that she got paid for and got a modern lego set for her classroom. Leadership meeting last week and she teaches new teachers for a few days this upcoming week. She makes like $60k a year but after deductions for retirement, health insurance, student loans, rent and car payment she's paycheck to paycheck.
  13. Nice. My friend who teaches in Philly didn't get a pay raise for 5 years and finally just moved up 2 steps plus got about $6,000 in back prorated pay for the last year.
  14. Right on how does that affect pensions???
  15. Are you still teaching? I plan on skiing a lot this season and gonna take off as much work as possible. I think I've only taken 2 days off since April.
  16. Hanging out with chick on the right in a little bit. She graduated from muhlenberg two years ago and is in town for the weekend. Haven't seen her since May of 2015.
  17. I'm not extra nice to one armed people. Amputees freak. E out a little bit.
  18. Shadows has been missing in action.
  19. Oh I get it, had to use algebra to figure that up wahahahaha
  20. OMG I'm laughing so hard..thanks for that!! You're awesome..your friend Zaldon!!!
  21. Sally check out some of these videos. I'll add more.
  22. I had a dream about skiing where I was in a rush to boot up opening day and did the first part of the run with boots unbuckled and couldn't get my heel fully in my boot. Luckily I'm the best skier on the mountain so was no issues but I missed a run waiting for atomic Jeff at the top of the Main Street chair. Thanks I'm sure any skis I buy this fall will be last years models. There is a thread with ski videos. I'll bump it for you. Enjoy
