  1. Was pretty cool skiing with TGR mags two days in a row...also saw bumper Chris having a blast with his son and Terry was getting after it as well so I think I knew about 12.5% of the people there. Toast hooked me up with this beer was pretty good. I didn't take many pictures but just nice to see everything covered in snow and be out there while the snow was falling. The several runs of untracked just icing on the cake.
  2. Forecast temperature for the A tomorrow 14 degrees going up to 26..will be colder at Blue...brrrrrrr
  3. Hey all, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I woke up this morning at 6am and it was sort of a rain snow mix but by the time I left for the hill at 650am it was dumping with snow covering the grass. Stopped at WaWa on the way up for a pork roll, egg and cheese sang and soft pretzel for later and arrived in the lower lot around 740am and Moe Ghoul was already there. Also in the house were Toast and JFDan. By opening bell at 830am there was about 3" of new snow on the heavier side covering the groomed snow. First run on nightmare Dreamweaver was a delight with maybe one track from a patroller..had to repeat that with large swaths of untracked. A lot of people didn't make opening bell and the first several runs were so empty. Sidewinder early was delightful and I had some of the best turns of my lyfe on X-ing. Razors was a little slick on the top headwall but the middle section and razorback yielded untracked sections of snow until at least 930am which is just epic to me. If the new snow fell on a weekends or when it was crowded the fresh would have lost about 6 minutes. From 8:30am-10am at least another inch fell with huge popcorn flakes coming down. Went to the lot a little after 10am for some beer then back on the slopes for a couple more runs and things were still nice but definitely sloppy seconds...the new snow was fast enough on the steeper pitches but very slow and sticky on homestretch I expect the snow to set up solid tonight and a grooming will make for super nice and faster conditions tomorrow morning. In the words of Ice Cube...Today was a good day!!! JADIP RFG stands for really fucking good!!!
  4. I'll check it out.

  11. Hey all, I'm back from a fun night session at Blue mountain the true mountain. Arrived at the lower lot around 645pm and the temperature was 50 degrees. Root, JLaw and MBike Mike were in the house. Matt edge was also there but didn't see him till the lot. Razors edge was the run of the night. I ended up skiing one Main Street which had some nice snow upper right and lower was thick slow spring snow..switchback was ok and Sidewinder was pretty rough but the ten runs I skied on razors were all super nice fast but soft snow and with the temperatures staying in the 40s it didn't setup. The run was a little spicier as the last headwall was closed where they are gonna have the bump competition this weekend so skied through the dark onto the falls to homestretch. Heck of a run... Winds were fierce and beers were cold..13 runs from 7-9 was as good as it gets as there were no buses and only about 40 people there. With the snow setting up along with the potential for three snow events in the next week Blue mountains future looks so bright it needs to wear shades!!!
  12. On the way to blue temperature has dropped from 61 to 55 in the last 20 minutes. Bring in your tropical plants
  13. Yeah AWD makes a big difference but being a good snow driver also makes a big difference. Good tires make a bigger difference though. From a complete stop AWD shines https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SU2esZC7Wmw
  14. Boner city...so far I just have two appointments on Monday. Gonna leave Tuesday and Wednesday open...
  15. Well that's a Warren Miller quote. Shit I regret never heli skiing and skiing in Europe. I need to step it up.
  16. I like driving on snow makes it seem worthwhile that I have AWD...for a short drive like to blue. I wouldn't want to drive all the way to Elk mountain in Vermont on snow. Would take all day.
  17. Oh Lordy. Atomic Jeff said you don't like driving in snow.
  18. Boom thanks for posting this Toast!!! You're awesome
  19. We don't want wet snow at blue makes it to slow just blower. Fresh tracks should last about 30 minutes though lol maybe 45 minutes. I'll be there if the snow actually happens probably arrive around 745 3 hours nonstop would be one of my longest sessions this season at blue lol.
  20. Yeah I take back what I said about JFDan
