  1. You never go on Saturday nights. Why did you choose the day with a massive cold front and thunderstorms.
  2. Ski2Live were you at blue?
  3. It's in my genes my grandfather used to write about Allentown during the 20s to 50s in the historical society books.
  4. Nope Ray owned most of blue and Bruce ebert owned some and now Barb owns rays share. Barb didn't run blue back in the Ray Tuthill days she's was an accountant. I'm surprised there's not a book on blues history. It would be read by like five people.
  5. Yup can't control Mother Nature. It's windy out there woooo. Still in the I'd 70s not for long.
  6. Skifreak do you have any cool stories for us??
  7. Did you see thunderstorms in the forecast all week. Have you checked out the radar.
  8. Just hit 71 degrees in Burlington Vermont
  9. OMG thanks for the support I think I'm gonna perform standup at the yuk yuk comedy club at the Ramada inn. Thanks for the support you're awesome.
  10. Way to get after it!!!
  11. Barb is a nice lady. Her dad Ray Tuthill opened a ski area on the most legit mountain within 15 minutes of sheetz and she has continued to improve it. Seriously TP4 behave...do I have to bribe you with a wawa soft pretzel to show barb some respect
  12. Would you prefer if I gave out dings.
  13. They won't be closed tomorrow strike two TP4
  14. Hey all, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. Arrived at lower lot at 7:25am and was 57 degrees with a moderate wind. Went with long sleeve t shirt and shell and was slightly warm. Wasn't even trying for first chair and had one of the first ones. In the house were Nastar Glenn, Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, Ryan, Ty, JFDan, toast, Gary and many others. First run hit up nightmare to Dreamweaver and the top was butter but lower was more firm and some little undulations. Run of the day for me was switchback and skied that at least 7 times. Was semi firm smooth and empty most runs. Lazy mile was also pretty good and paradise was mad steezy yo and no SP3 action on the hill as they were doing whistle training somewhere on the west side of the hill The temperature rose through the 60s and winds were gusty the entire time. Some parking lot fun and JFDan brought some good snacks. Fun day and a bonus day to me because all week it looked like today would be a washout and we got lucky with a window of good conditions. JADIP
  15. What kind of delicate clothes do you have? QFT!! Quoted for truth. I wish you would step back from that ledge my friend.
  16. Pretty fun skiing this morning. I'm on the way home will post a report soon. 70 degrees out in Whitehall the thunderstorms are gonna be fierce. I heard blue is closing at 3pm today.
  17. JF does have some good grooming.
  18. Whirlybird training is good better than their whistle practice last weekend. Surprised it's so crowded this late.
  19. Just gotta enjoy the spring snow. Haven't been up on a Friday night in awhile the quad must not be running.
  20. Upper bucks county is more expensive for the national average and $1,000 a month would be an affordable price for an individual or couple making over $3,000 a month. The average apartment in Allentown is actually 850' month and the range is like 600-1500+ It's why many people live with their parents longer or live with roommates since pay hasn't gone up much for a lot of people but the cost of living has. The last two places I've lived have had ample off street parking. Water and garbage included and where I live now has free heat which dramatically cuts down my electric bill which is only about $30 a month when I'm not using AC. I'm not very handy aside from a little do it yourself plumbing. If I had a house would hire a grasscutter, need to find a handy man for maintenance and host Tupperware parties. My dream is to live in a hotel. I'm getting closer to that dream. I actually checked out what the weekly rate is for the Howard Johnson across the street from dorney park and it's like $350-400 a week. Seems like a lot but then I'd have no bills and wouldn't need furniture, no deposit, free breakfast, housekeeping and maybe even a free USA today.
  21. Forecast is saying a chance of showers or thunderstorms before 2pm and then likely after that. They'll lose some more base but all the runs still should be open on Sunday except the glades and the little run that connects home stretch and the lower park just closed down as its melted out in one spot. The snow will set up tomorrow night and be back to fast snow and sugar.
  22. Sickbird. Thought you were naturally thin.
  23. I don't think most people can afford the payments on a 15 year mortgage. My parents bought the house I grew up in dirt cheap in 1980 I believe and were making double payments when they could and paid it off fast. That's the benefit of buying something cheap much lower payments. If it's $920 a month for a $194k mortgage it would be under $500 a month for a $100k one so if you're doing well you could pay more. Well you live in a very expensive area. Modern apartments around here are mostly $1,000 plus a month. The bargains are in old places with no amenities. Plus the walls are often thicker so you can't hear your neighbors taking a dump. Didn't see you there.
  24. They had a big race on it. Well that's the interest and principal over 30 years how do you think banks stay in business. Unless you are going to flip your home within a few years I don't see it as an investment but a place to live.
