I guess from now on I need to start a report thread early so it's not snagged as my threads get lots of views and I don't want my report buried in somebody else's thread. It's snowing and I'm about halfway to blue and the roads are largely untreated.

I'm thinking 2"-4"

Hey All, I'm back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:35am after a sausage biscuit, hash brown and apple juice from McDonald's. In the house were Toast, JFDan, Nastar Glenn, Marty, George, slim, Matt edge and the dude. Paradise and lazy mile and upper Main Street were carpets the first few runs. Soft and fast wooo. Then all the Tom Dick Phoengs and Rashids showed up and the runs got busier and pretty darn choppy. Skied until 10am then hungout in the lot drinking hop ranches then went out for five more runs including challenge which has a mini spine that Matt edge showed me and Barneys bumps and Xing had great smooth spring snow. The shiros were good in the heavy spring snow. The mantras earlier not so much. I'll be back tomorrow AM for the fresh snow!!!

The forecast has been bad..yesterday was a 40% chance of rain and today it's 60 degrees out..if it snows Thursday will also cut into crowds. I'll be up first thing tomorrow.

Way to get after it. I have a stomach bug and don't trust that I'll be able to drive to blue without shitting myself. I should be up tomorrow and Thursday. Looks like 1-3 inches of new snow Thursday.

Hey All, I'm back from another session at Blue mountain. I arrived at the lower or at 722am and there were guns blasting all over the place. VTMark, MBike Mike, Toast, Atomic Jeff, Indiggio, Slim and George were all in the house. First civilian 6-pack and my first time on the six pack this season. Challenge had a skiff of new blown snow on the top but lower down was firm and chunky. Paradise and lazy were carpets early on and Main Street was great on top and kind of rough mini cookies bottom half. We did one run to Burma and back and that had pretty nice snow. We then pretty much repeated most of the runs and I ended up skiing a final run down challenge and was out of there before 10am. First day this season I didn't end my session with some beer but tomorrow when it's 50 and sunny will be a good time to chill in the lot and by this weekend it will be back to full on PASR days.

I'm skiing the next 7 mornings at Blue..I hope that earns me street cred with RideDE..this last week was hectic as fuck..closing out the year at work..3 night sessions..Xmas shopping..and spending 48 hours in Arlington VA.

Jack Frost??

Crowds come slow that day. I'm just glad they're open the day after Xmas. They weren't last year and 8am opening is a plus on a weekday.
-
I haven't even checked the weather..thanks to the reminder..I hope they don't need to use Avalanche bombs or shit could get spicy
-
Sounds like you're having fun..enjoy!!! Your kids will always remember their first time skiing in Vermont and I think it's cool hearing about people taking their kids on ski trips!!

Anybody gonna be skiing Monday 12/26?? Sure it could get crowded but most of the Tom Dick and Harry's won't come till later in the morning or afternoon. I know a lot of people have off work that day so could be a fun PASR day...

Paradise is a better run than lazy mile...#FACT
-
My skiers tan is lacking so far this season bahahahahahah funny but true.
-
Quite the opposite...profits are higher than he expected so we both make more money. Why isn't there a 12/24 thread??? You guys slack when I'm gone.

Way to get after it. I just got blindesided with an hour and a half long business meeting.

Did you ever get a job in the field?? I prefer the term verbose -
Mount Ellen aka sugarbush north used to be called Glen Ellen and it was a seperate ski area.

Thanks and your report last night was great..I type like a mofo on my iPhone. 80 words per minute. -
Hey all, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. On the drive up I rocked out to Meek Mill, Eddie $$$ and Pat Benatar. Arrived at the lower lot at 650pm with temperatures in the mid 30s and Atomic Jeff arrived a few minutes later. Not many people and it was nice parking in the lower lot. The quad was running and first run was on Paradise which was kind of meh..some sugar, some hardpack and some whoop Dee dos. We saw Matt Edge and TheDude4Bides and Edge laughed when I said I was ready for a double black(shoshanna and laquisha)..nah just kidding the double black was challenge and it was firm on top and dark in the middle..next up was Main Street which was variable..some sense sugar, some boilerplate and some dark spots. Up Main Street chair and Easy out to Vista to Burma which was pretty nice. Then up Main Street chair again to Lazy mile which was crazy mile with yahoos all over the place Back to the quad for more runs on challenge and lazy. We were gonna quit but then saw GSSucks so did another lazy to the falls and another challenge. One run on lazy there was a random pair of skis in the middle of the run which I almost stomped. I was dressed fairly warm and with the wind it was like my third favorite Katie Perry song..Hot and Cold..id be warm at the bottom and chilly at the top...and for those curious waking up in Vegas and Last Friday Night are my first and second favorite Katie Perry songs respectively. In the lot GSSucks hooked me up with a 11.4% Lagunitas beer followed by a Dirt Wolf and the yahoos were in the lot. A neon, a civic and an Audi A4 were all revving their engines and driving around like darshes and across the street was a pickup truck doing donuts and burnouts..shit was bananas. I left Blue at 10:05PM and back in the A 25 minutes later. What a nice opening week+..had a few morning sessions and three night sessions this week. I'll be in Virginia tomorrow until Sunday and back in the lower lot first thing Monday...another hats off to the snowmakers for getting 5 major runs open or about 60% of Blues terrain open. The only runs I didn't ski today we're come around, the chute and the shuttle. Everybody who's out tomorrow and Saturday have fun. Should be very comfortable weather and light to moderate crowds. It's all about the base about the base no treble wahahahahaha..... -
Upper Main Street is both Barneys and upper Main Street...I think blue could easily have 60 runs if they broke up and overlapped the trails more. Is skytop open? I like taking skytop to nightmare to Dreamweaver to paradise to finish line woo
-
Maybe they got a voucher for a free hot chocolate?? Anyway I'm sure they'll have the part from Slovenia by New Years.
