  1. April 8th 2016...day 3 of 6. Copper mountain. Sorry all left my phone in my car so no photos from today. It was semi overcast today so pictures wouldn't be that good. I paid $20 to park by the base of the Super Bee chair and $79 for my ticket using the buddy pass Barb gave me. Temperature at 9am was around 30 degrees. I began with a few groomed Blue runs off the super bee lift which is about 2,000 feet of vert and a six pack. Groomed terrain was firm cord as it had gotten warm yesterday and off trail was not good..on the thick and crusty side. Made my way down to the center village and took American Flyer which is another long and fast lift. Then took the slow triple up to the ridge next. Snow conditions were variable and there were some not so good firm moguls...I made my way back to a herb route which let out above timberline lift. Run of the day for me was Jacque Pique..which I skied about 3-4 times. Had flat and steeper sections and not many people so I could fly down it. Pretty fun run. There were a decent amount of people enjoying the BBQ at the bottom of the Timberline lift and people at the waffle shack near the top of timberline. I skied back down to the main base again and up the American Flyer again. At this time my legs were bothering me a little bit. Was covering terrain at a rate of 10,000 vertical feet an hour..only took one non high speed lift and only went in the woods for a safety break as the snow in the woods was bad. Last run took wide open greens and blues down the center of the resort then cut hard left all the way down to the super bee base. The snow never really got that soft..was more winterlike even though it was nearly 50 degrees at the base. I think the lack of direct sunshine and high clouds kept the snow winterlike longer. Looks like there could be some snow tonight in the mountains and I think I'm heading to Loveland.
  2. Woods Food. Brisket sang with waffle fries. And Gatorade was under $18 I got a really good parking spot for arriving at 848.
  3. If I was in Aspen this is where I'd be Apres skiing and ski down last run faded. Instead in the baller suite drinking labatt Blue was only like $10'for a 12 pack. Drank some high test dark beer at brewery the other night. Took like 40'minutes to drink a slow sipper and in the woods today was a slow ripper conditions were variable. Early groomers were pristine I was on one of the first chairs on the upper mountain and got montazuma early. Laid down some railroad tracks under the lift. Skied off piste a ltitle did. Long ass traverse to woods and a cat track. Single diamond terrain skied well pretty much nobody was skiing most of the double diamond terrain save for a few climbing a boot ladder below the east wall. Definitely untracked snow in some woods today only some of it fluffy and sparkly. I got a lot of runs in stopped counting after 10 despite slow lifts there was never much of a line. Only once the main high speed quad had a half corral line and I took the Pali lift with no wait. The spine I grind yesterday under the lenawee lift is now chowder I witnessed many people skiing that..full on spring temperatures happened with temperatures approaching 45. Certain aspects got a little Corny. The parking lot had streams flowing through it. Keystone looked like spring conditions with about 50 degrees down there. I'll post some more pictures in a few
  4. Stay on topic guys the topic is lunch.
  5. Sorry I'm not a hippie. Have skied 7-8 runs so far. Taking another safety break in the woods then skiing to the bottom then taking lift to mid mountain lodge for lunch. Then ski some more. Here are some more pictures. Top off Pali lift. In the woods near the bottom of Montezuma bowl.
  6. Maybe if I ever go back to Vegas or maybe do a boys trip there. Me you edge dude mark and Indiggio
  7. Had the continental breakfast and it was pretty wack. Got to Abasin at 848am about 30 degrees at the base and sunny. Winds have died down. Skied 3 runs so far..mostly groomers and a little bit of trees. Still a little fresh but stiff pow in the woods. Norway Face. Some Woods.
  8. Monorails are alright and I'm also down with OPP
  9. They have trivia at 8 at the brewery don't know if that's what I'm bout.
  10. Looks like decent cold weather in the long range forecast. Definitely bring in tropical plants and tender vegetation. Cover them with a blanket at least.
  11. I laughed..heard the resorts are connected by rollercoaster. Wahahahahaoey This was a nice run on the backside. Still lots of untracked think this was like 11am.
  12. Probably copper or Loveland. Sorry didn't stop and post many reports today was super super windy. Skied over the montazuma bowl and skated like a mofo up the slightly uphill cat track past two groups of people and somebody said wow he's fast. Of course doing that at 12,000 feet had me a bit winded. Some pictures from montazuma. Was gonna stop for lunch mid mountain but not that hungry had a bacon egg and cheese bagel and some sort of pastry earlier from Einstein bagels..prob get the brisket tomorrow at Abasin. Paid $159 for a two day ticket. I think it's a 19 dollar savings vs buying two one day tickets. In the lower mountain woods now sweating. I over dressed today. Temperatures in the high teens and strong winds booting me up had me but on fleece layer which was overkill. Sun this time of year is so bright still don't think it's above freezing. Gonna ski this run and maybe one more then head back into Silverthorne and get lunch and beer.
  13. At Abasin today bought a two day ticket for $159. Skied a few runs so far off lenawee and black mountain express. The 3-4" of new snow is all wind affected even in the woods. Will actually get better when more people ski it. Comical see goobs trying the winds lab from the lift.
  14. Plumb bobbing for apples
  15. Winter Park Country road. Getting closer. Ended up being a 13.5 hour travel day door to door and I enjoyed every minute of it.
  16. Was good snowmaking weather this morning. This is your final warning please bring in tropical plants and tender vegetation.
  17. I actually liked seeing the new spots and the adventure of Root finding. Of course looks like 70 is open again.
  18. Wow in the baller suite. Cause I have a hotel room booked in Silverthorne. Not paying for two rooms. If I didn't have a hotel booked prob would have stayed in Idaho Springs.
  19. Made it to silverthorne only an extra 100 miles.
  20. Taking the long way to silverthorne via granby. Just drove over berthard pass. Woo 14 degrees at the top of pass
  21. Sitting at a standstill right before Georgetown exit. Blowing and snowing.
  22. Got my weed and chocolates and pipe in Idaho springs. The lady asks me what brings me here and I said to buy weed lol stopped at the Kum and Go for a slice of pizza and drinks and I figure I'll be taking Loveland pass past abasin and keystone into silverthorne if the tunnel is still closed when I get up there in about a half hour. Scenic route. If that route is closed I don't know what I'll do.
  23. Fuck 70 is closed Georgetown to silverthorne with multiple accidents. Gonna stop in Idaho springs and catch my bearings prob buy weed there instead.
  24. I've never come to Denver without terrible stop and go traffic on 70 through Denver.
