  1. That would be radical. Camelbacks more northerly location and higher elevation makes for a winning combination when it comes to quality spring skiing and riding.
  2. Well just ski blue as much as you can before. That’s a nice long trip.
  3. @saltyantcamelback is closing tomorrow at 5pm to preserve snow.
  4. RTMs were the hot ski in Jackson hole a few years ago and now everybody there is on Elan Ripsticks
  5. I like when people say eye-talian. My Brooklyn customer is named Rita and she pronounces her name Reeder
  6. I’m not booking a spring trip until I see when Blue ends up closing. Usually I don’t go away until mid April or so but if blue closes early to mid march I don’t want a month without skiing in between.
  7. me and atomic Jeff were thinking first maybe second week in march for closing if it doesn’t get cold and snowy. Blue did save a shitload of money on snowmaking this year but probably sold 100,000 less tickets.
  8. Wow just wow…
  9. There’s snow in the long range forecast. It will be interesting to see how hardcore Blue wants to blow snow.
  10. @toast21602 is probably pumped, it’s warm enough for the grass to grow.
  11. @saltyant here’s your Midwest cousin.
  12. Have fun and you answered my question already in the other thread.
  13. How do you pronounce Porsche?
  14. I believe it because it’s a very wealthy clientele that skis Okemo..
  15. That’s pretty rad, I’d be curious to know what she ends up selling it for and how much she’ll end up profiting on the build.
  16. Boner city for Barb and Dan…
  17. Hey All, I’m back from another quick AM session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived in the valley at 835am and it was 46 degrees under mostly sunny sky’s. In the house were C1er, Bethlehem Ford crew, Atomic Jeff, Rodney, Oz and a handful of others. First run was on Razors which was moderately firm cord and a root roller around the middle got me and AJeff..a few minutes later Blue paint was sprayed to mark it. They are getting ready for Super G races so some areas fenced off as well including right before the last drop. Challenge had the best cord on the hill, softer than razors but still fast, skied challenge a second time then skied Main Street which had super soft cord on the top and bottom was already spring crud. Skied Main Street again and most of the cord was gone, that run is probably a slush pit by now. Coming soon was decent and ended the session on Switchback and I got a little bit of air off the top roller. Peaced out at 10:10. All in all a fun spring session and I’m glad I got to ski most of the fresh cord…big time melting today as the temperature is currently climbing through the 50s. Should be interesting to see what’s left Saturday..I expect a lot of skeet and bare spots by then after three more days of melt.
  18. Are you going on any ski trips this season? You’re welcome and anytime.
  19. I like Nuts on Clark from the Chicago O’Hare airport. I’m more into savory than sweet so I like the cheddar popcorn but I will fuck with Johnson’s caramel popcorn or even cracker jacks if available.. Are you still trying to get back to Arizona snowbowl in march? I remember you saying airfare was about $450..that’s decent considering your lift tickets are already taken care of. Plus if you stay at the same place multiple times, they sometimes greet you with a welcome gift. It’s happened to me before at a holiday inn express..thanks for the bottle of water and bag of pretzels..not even kidding..you rock hardcore yo.
  20. Salty that’s when you get to skate and use your poles….fantastic like the sunset over the green mountains. TFTI
  21. I’m gonna wrap this up with some more good bad and ugly. Good: The variety of terrain that was skied. In Deep powder multiple laps on Grand, deep deep Cirque and the gully after the chutes and below expert chutes and scattered all around, Hobacks powder, lower faces powder, amphitheater powder and cord..not much chop..screaming fast empty groomers when 20 below. Bad: I had issues with the hot water in the shower..it seemed like around 530 when I wanted to shower not much hot water and lower water pressure. Wasn’t an issue in the morning. Plenty of towels though. Ugly: no warm nuts offered on the first class flight to Jackson hole because it was a breakfast flight.
  22. Nice report and pictures. The one with your shadow makes you look fat..surprising I’m super ripped and lean in my shadows..maybe cause I’m stoned most of the time lol
  23. I believe that’s been removed for years. That was 10 miles long..great eastern is I believe 5-6 miles long and there used to be a run called four mile trail. They should have just cut it into four lazy miles, they were seriously leaving trails on the table. Stowe always used to have 47 runs or trails while sugarbush had 112 between both mountains but a similar amount of acerage and miles of trails so one summer Stowe went from less than 50 runs to more than 100 without cutting down a single tree. As a marketing guy I think that’s rad but they could have been more subtle about it.
