I wasn't supposed to fly from Denver to Jackson, my Chicago to Jackson flight ended up in Denver. Anyway Denver to Jackson took me like 11 hours but it was during a snowstorm and last 190 miles was unplowed as they don't plow during the overnight hours on 191 in western Wyoming. In good weather I think it's an 8 hour drive from Denver. Pretty much just north on 15 west on 80 and north on 191 right into Jackson. I've mostly flown Allentown to Chicago to Jackson or Philly to Chicago to Jackson. I flew direct from Newark to Jackson last year it's a once a week Saturday only direct flight. Pretty amazing as it leaves sort of late and gets to Jackson by noon. I like the Denver airport it's one of the nicer ones. 7 hours and 56 minutes according to google maps.

I think there's a gray area here. If you bought an all day ticket at 8am and had to leave at 1230 due to weather I don't see much the ski resort can do to compensate but I feel for someone who came up at noon bought a ticket at 1215 and got one run in they should receive a voucher. That's more customer good will. I have situations like this at work all the time and sometimes we are better off eating it even if it's not our fault and even if it's in the fine print just cause we want repeat business. A few years ago at Jackson hole I maybe got 1.5 hours of skiing in before all lifts were shutdown due to a blizzard and winds and they offered vouchers for another day to everybody. For those on their last ski day you got resort credit to use in a store or eatery. I felt that was the most generous thing I've seen. Sometimes during long lift closures people stuck on chairlifts for over an hour get a voucher for another day. I was stuck on a lift at sugar bush for like an hour and a half and got a voucher for a free hot chocolate. I didn't want hot chocolate so had to wheel and deal with cafeteria guy to have a soda instead. Let's hope the January thaw is out of the way. Looks like a lot of 20 degree temperature ahead. They aren't losing money giving a voucher they prob will make more money in the future.

The sun will come out tomorrow. Me and Johnny law were singing that on the lift last season. When the pope presents TP4 with his statue we'll sing hard knock lyfe the Jay Z version.
