No none of those things. I went with ski club in 9th grade and 12th grade. I did manage something like 35,000 vert per day at whiteface but I skied alone to maximize vert as most people I went to high school with were gapers and rentards. Speaking of fast lifts...the main two lifts I use at Jackson hole, thunder and sublette are not high speed but they are super steep and direct and cover about 1500 vert in like 7-8 minutes. The new teton lift is high speed.

When I skied whiteface there were only three runs from the top.

Ive only had the cheesesteak ones and plain. Their cheese fries with old bay seasoning are also good. My dad has owned many companies. I'm glad he bought the tombstone company...alot shorter commute than the pierogie company that's out in berks county.

You spell pierogies funny but there are multiple ways to spell it. Pierogies at blue are nothing special probably Mrs T's not the homemade ones like at the CBI. You know my dad almost bought a pierogie company in the 80s

The base at Okemo is only 1144 feet..doesn't matter how much snow Okemo gets they brutally groom that mountain for the low intermediates that frequent the place.

I'm not saying that I'm saying if you're gonna drive several hours why not go somewhere good. I don't think I'd have fun at bear creek.

Well when I was a teenager I went to Killington thought it was good then went to Okemo and Stratton and not so good and super crowded then in 11th grade I went with my dad to sugarbush and stowe. Sugarbush was awesome I really enjoyed Castlerock and paradise then at Stowe I really enjoyed the top to bottom fast lifts and the tree skiing and decided to go to college at UVM. At UVM I skied mostly Stowe, sugarbush a little especially freshman year when they still had the big pass and also Smuggs, jay peak, Bolton, MRG and Killington for early and late season. I had some really nice trips to Stowe in my 20s with powder but last two trips there were meh conditions and was tired of long drive so haven't been back to Stowe in like 5 years. If blue mountain is a 10 on a scale of 0 to 100 I put Okemo as a 30... Stowe as a 50..Colorado resorts as an 80 and Jackson hole as a 90. I really like skiing jackson hole. RideDE you're affluent and hardly ski out west. It is cool that you get alot of days in at sugarbush although sucks that you are on patrol as in my opinion that's a major waste of on slope time but many like the commeraderie. But fuck if given the choice between a 5-6 hour drive to Okemo or a 7/8 hour drive to Stowe I'd choose stowe. Anyway in the future I plan on skiing much more out west. 9 trips out west in the last five seasons is good but I wanna go more. Eventually I wanna take off winters and live in the Rockies. I feel like I'm selling myself short not heli skiing or skiing in Europe but that will come eventually. I've heard I look pretty good through beer goggles.... And RideDE you skied stowe one day ever in April you goober. I've skied Okemo prob like 6 times total. Will I return...nope

I'm only here in Allentown cause this is where I make money but I like Allentown more now than a decade ago. There's not as much stimulation in western ski towns. The majority of college educated young women on the east coast end up initially in big cities like Philly, NYC and Washington DC. The last several years with the economy bad and not so many jobs for recent college grads there has been an influx of hot young girls returning to Allentown after graduation while people my sisters age(33) all got the hell out with some moving back to raise a family.

Looking at the long range I don't think there's gonna be any skiing in Vermont thanksgiving weekend.

Yeah but Pocono if you're gonna drive like 7 hours why not go somewhere a little better in Vermont or more challenging. Especially for people who are into bumps and trees. Okemo severely lacks in natural snowfall... POC compared to what you ski at BB and JF blue is like Vermont but without the drive. Okemos nickname is Slowkemo.

yeah Bolton is pretty lame and I even thought about it when I wrote about Okemo but fuck if you're gonna drive all the hours and you like gnarly terrain don't go to Okemo. If its thanksgiving weekend and a white ribbon of death it doesn't really matter that much. Okemo is flatter than Stratton and mount snow but families and lower level skiers enjoy it there....and it is better than blue. Nothing as steep as hunter mountain And and as for east coast road trips aren't all the PASRs gonna rent out Platekill for a day sometime. It's day trip range for all of us and Johnny law said he's got five on it!!!

Okemo is the flattest mountain in Vermont. Go west ZZSlope you said you've never been. As warren miller says if you don't go this year you'll be another year older when you do.
