  1. Hey DougFan4Lyfe now that the Allentown fair is over, what have you been up to???
  2. If blue isnt open XMAS week, do you think people will still show up ready to ski and tube??
  3. Mix it with some unsweetened iced tea and you've got yourself one of the best non alcoholic drinks.
  4. When I was in 11th grade I bought an avocet altimeter watch which kept track of vertical feet skied. Indiggio has one of them. I always liked keeping stats on different things as I'm number oriented. When I joined PASR I liked the stats page and kept track of vert for a few years. Now I just keep track of days. I'd rather just enjoy myself skiing. I've found that around 3-4 days skiing per week is perfect for me and 6-7 days on ski trips. Everybody have fun this weekend at Big Boulder.
  5. Sibhusky would laugh at that comment and PoconoOceanCity said he took no offense to it and we're friends. BigDaddyK didn't leave PASR cause of me. I met him and skied with him once like 6-7 years ago at blue he's a nice guy. The first cop I ever met and I was super stoned..
  6. We still have a chance for skiing and riding XMAS week. Is there enough base at sugarbush to last that long??
  7. I agree with TP4 about montage...The Philly suburbs have the highest average income in the state. Lehigh and Northampton counties are above average while Lackawanna and luzerne counties are below average both for PA and the United States. Plus the Philly diehards seem to keep driving past montage to elk. Also essentially all of the PA ski resorts have been around for more than 30 years most longer the exception is whitetail which opened in the early 90s. I imagine they all have good lines of credit. Now if next season has a similar start and future seasons are lean expect some ski areas to fold...I think Blue and camelback would be strong survivors along with JF/BB plus alot of PA ski areas are part of a resort like BC and Camelback. The infrastructure is there for other streams of revenue.
  8. If a ski resort doesn't operate their expenses would also be alot lower...especially payroll expenses as only year round employees would be paid. The last two season were very successful but before that there have been bad seasons scattered in with the averag and epic seasons. Being in the PA ski resort business is so risky..especially as global warming continues. People can say global warming is a farce but the ice in green land is melting and the sea level is rising and hurricanes and snowstorms are becoming more severe and countries like china which lack environmental regulation are spewing pollutants into the air. I'm so glad I'm in the tombstone business...while last year November was cold and a big snowy this year November was mild and we did like 40% more business
  9. Yeah well actually one run counts as a day. Some ski mountaineers only ski one run. I think most of the PASR days we did there were when you were in college.
  10. Sounds dynamite TNT let us know. Does Belleayre have a decent webcam??
  11. 600 is east mountain lift the middle ones are less but it's all good takes forever to get vert at JF
  12. Cause people should be honest in stats or Sibhusky will beat em with her fanny flap.
  13. Cause back when I kept track of vert I was legit about it and others weren't. The best was when somebody went to Killington and counted 3k of very every run.
  14. Did we run bigdaddyK off PASR? He was a fucking gaper and a cop. No me and POC are buddies. 1,000 feet equals 3.33 football fields.
  15. It's about 125-150 verts and about 1,000 feet long.
  16. Pocono ocean city put it as 400 in his stats lol and I already called him out on it. Is BB gonna make it to Sunday??
  17. The 17th for mount pocono high 47 low 29...18th high 38 low 21..19th high 33 low 22. Maybe some of the local mountains can open December 26th it's a real possibility for everywhere but bear creek.
  18. That means an awkward or uncomfortable position.
  19. I'm sure most non die hards only buy gear when they are skiing
  20. At the old Nestor's in Whitehall that's now a Buckmane the sign says hey summer beat it and only two cars in the lot besides employees.
  21. TP4 you don't like when the bass drops...it's all about the bass no treble is a good song wahahahahooey
  22. I gotta figure out hype music for this season. Maybe some bluegrass.
  23. I Post a report!!!!
