Is that the one on the far left where there’s a big drop off to the left? I like Lifts with no foot rest..maybe cause I like to dangle. At Loveland most of their lifts have no safety bar and when it’s windy and I have my fat skis on, the wind sometimes gets under my skis and makes the ride even spicier. A few of those lift rides it was such relief to finally get to the top.

Yeah but the three high speed lifts at Blue have a slippery seat and if you’re sitting in a middle seat with the bar up and are not holding onto the lift and it makes a quick stop, there’s a chance you can fall off…the old Main Street and burma chairs I was comfortable with the bar up.

The tubers deserve a long season as well.

January 31st..day 7 of 7 Hey all, I’m back from my final ski day of this trip. Today was very cold to start and we didn’t even leave for the mountain until 815am. Temperature was a balmy -23. Arrived at the hill around 835am, sat in the car a few because we didn’t want to stand around waiting for the gondola to open, booted up and loaded the gondola at 859. First run on amphitheater was more of that 80 mph cord..it was nice. Up thunder and repeated ampy again and then one more time before taking Grand to south pass traverse back to thunder followed by Grand to Sublette chair. Grand on the left side was so good. It was also super super empty..like one out of every ten chairs with people for the first hour. In the first hour we didn’t the gondola, five thunder laps and one Sublette lap and skied Rendezvous trail one time. R-trail was decent but more traffic than the other runs so a bit more skied off. We then did four more Laps off of Thunder, mostly skied Grand to south pass traverse and then on the last run continued on lower Tram line which was more chalky than cord and as we descended back to the village it was like skiing into a ice box as it was still in the teens below zero at the base. Debooted and had lunch at the Four Season. This turned into maybe my best trip here. First two days had shallow powder and low crowds…next two days deep deep powder and crowded..fifth day was leftover powder and moderate crowds and the last two days were empty groomer days. Thanks everybody for reading along. Mute had a blast here and NMSki did as well and I’m glad Nazareth Jay came along for comic relief…also glad Jay was able to find his lotion.. JADIP

It’s cold enough to blow snow today at Montage? wow 31 degrees in Scranton..sweet winter is back boys and girls.

Yeah but eating junk food and smoking doesn’t harm others, keeping the bar up can injure and kill other people. Even if you ride the chairlift alone you can injure or kill somebody if you fall off and land on somebody. As @TT C6said,”sit on my landing, I’ll sit on your face”

When it’s steep squeaky snow is fine. Not normally cause it’s slow snow. Airhead how’s your back doing? Hopefully you hop on another blue pass in a few weeks when they announce early bird pricing.

I believe it, of course it’s gonna be in the single digits at Blue Saturday morning but I’m thankful for maybe two days of round the clock snowmaking to get us through next weeks warm spell.

3 out of 4 days here I sweat profusely..not yesterday and not today.

That’s dumb…I’d rather they replace the speaker by the new lift…if I’m gonna rock out to Wham or Rush or whatever oldies are playing when I’m waiting for the lift to open, I want the quality to be better than a Mexican oh oh radio lol

I think the company that bought Blue is just having fun spending lots of money…
