  1. Yeah they have the best beer selection in the area. That whole southside Allentown/Emmaus area has a distinct microclimate being against south mountain. Several occasions including this past winter where it snowed double as much in a major storm 5 miles south of west Allentown and Whitehall. TP4 is your aunts boyfriend named Peter or Gary???
  2. I have a filter...on my air conditioner!!!! I have to go to work tomorrow for an appointment at noon. The family wanted an appointment next Sunday and I said I'd be away. Then the guy said I'm an early morning person is early ok and I said I wanted to sleep in. He said am I sure it's ok since it's Easter. I said its cool I'm like my third favorite REM song...I lost my religion a long time ago... Oh and top two are End of the World and Stand... Always a good time for the Mantras!!!
  3. Thanks barb. Would be a shame if I book a nice hotel in boulder and end up staying at this girls place.
  4. When I stayed in Boulder with my parents 8 years ago I stayed at homewood suites which is about 3 miles from the center of Boulder...I believe there are some other chain hotels around there. Hotel boulderado is the only one I know downtown and that may be just over my price range. I had brunch there when I visited. So far everything has come in under budget...airfare, lodging, rental car and likely lift tickets thanks to Barbs buddy passes at copper and likely at least a day at ABasin and possibly a day at Loveland. Philpug is gonna be in Vail as well...don't think I'm gonna visit Johnny Law in Aspen..a little far from where I'm staying. This trip isn't as much of a skifari as last year. I'd rather drive less and stay in a more centrally located area. I really like the Dillon/Silvershorne area. There's a Smashburger and an Einsteins bagel..reasonably priced Irish pub 1/2 mile from where I stay and you feel a Rocky Mountain high just walking around. Gotta remember to get cash...weed stores are cash only!!! I might visit with Chippy as well.
  5. I go to Wyoming more than I go to Emmaus!!!!
  6. ++++++++VIBES++++++ Phillycore!!!!!
  7. Glad you had fun at Blue Rajeev...next time I stop by Tobyhanna I'll stop in at the Dunkin donuts and say hi to your cousins!!!
  8. Just booked a room from the 7th-13th at the Silver Inn in Silverthorne. I stayed there two nights last year and the location is great near lots of bars and dining options...right next door to Target. The cheapest rate online is $80 a night...I called them direct and they said $75 a night which is reasonable so accepted that amount. The final night I'm staying in Boulder so I can see this girl who's from Emmaus. Anybody have any lodging suggestions in Boulder?? Anyway the trip is getting close. Tomorrow Im gonna start packing!!!
  9. Wow just wow this is getting out of hand...
  10. Camelback got 5" the other day. I bet Glenn and Nick Malozzi could still find fresh this weekend.
  11. What's camelback charging this weekend???
  12. Belleayre is always a good spring option and its cheap there.
  13. This was one of the best ski seasons Blue has ever had. Maybe not for deepest snow or attendance but there were alot of days and nights with very nice conditions. In this thread I'm gonna give some honorable mentions. If you aren't mentioned don't feel bad and next season hopefully some more PASRs like Mess, Ski2Live, TNT and others can ski/ride Blue with PASRs as well. JohnnyLaw: probably the most dedicated Blue skier..been to like 100 resorts..always finds something positive in even the worst conditions. Drives a mind boggling amount of miles and skis fast would probably be faster than me if I didn't have 50 pounds on him. Plus he rocks pink well for an alpha male. Atomic Jeff: always down to ski, always has older race dudes drooling over his skiing..plus PASRs official bagel guy!!! MBike Mike: been on PASR ten years...bumps..beers...bourban..and a wife who skis alot who is a GSS fan!!! NMSki: PASR beer guy...as crude as most of my good friends..has a nice ski area patch collection!! Phillycore: been skiing with him for like 8 years...always has entertaining stories..enjoys the gnar..drinks the same beers as the college girls I know!! Toast: can be in bed the latest of any PASR and still make first chair...closet GSS fan..former Jibhonk Root: super enthusiastic about skiing and home brewing...is still sleeping in the lower lot at Blue Justo: been skiing blue longer than me and an excellent skier.. Indiggio: often on first chair...puts in long ass sessions..bump master Matt Edge: the enthusiasm of being relatively new to the sport..and he loves grinding the spine and always has Stone IPAs on demand. TheProgram4: PASR old gangstah, sort of like me in that he sometimes forgets he's white. Very good snowboarder and rides every chance he gets. VTMark: infectious laugh, always has interesting stuff to say..one of the only snowboarders besides -Dan who has passed me..he's fast...won the snowboard division in Nastar nationals 2007 TheDude4Bides: puts in a ton of days..loves the bumps...helped out the PASR race team. JFBBDan: good skier, always down for a parking lot beer...powder hound storm day skier..can easily be spotted by his trademark orange hood. Nastar Glenn: He's Nastar Glenn nothing more to say. PARidge: another JFBB gangstah who saw the light and the light was blue. Likes the trees and spraying people who are behind him. Does real time reports!!
  14. It's almost 70 degrees out now and I'm my hangover from the PASR party finally wore off. I blame the high test beers and champagne. End of Blues ski season finally sinking in but it's all good I'm not gonna suffer from PPSRD that hasn't affected me in years. Just gotta have fun year round. We should do a PASR hiking day on the Appalachian trail this summer and re start the annual bar night down at the Fox and Hound in King of Prussia and a Lehigh valley one and Bethlehem Brew Works... I like logistics and planning and everything came together really well for the PASR party not easy cooking in the wind. One good thing about this ski season at Blue is the fun social aspect along with new regulars. Alot of people who might not orderly hangout if not for a common interest/obsession with skiing/riding!!!!
  15. Thanks I leave in four days!!!! Stay tuned to this thread for daily reports and photos!!!
  16. 4" new at a basin 5" new at Copper!!
  17. Looking good
  18. Great report!!! I've never skied Mont Tremblant but its on my list. I spent alot of time in Montreal when I was in college and visited Quebec City as well and really like the French candadian culture!!! It's crazy that you drive hours and hours through remote country and then all of a sudden a huge cosmopolitan city
  19. Johnny Law goes to Colorado tomorrow. I leave Tuesday. Snowing right now in Summit county...3-6" expected tonight also snow forecasted next week for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
  20. I wanna see a video of Matt Edge and TheDude4Bides grinding the spine!!! Johnny Law I don't think I ever asked you before if you like Eddie money but when you mentioned going back in a time warp it reminded me of this great song from the 80s about the 60s. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=o0JqC2UDpoE And this Huey Lewis and the News song. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TLQWGoysbgM
  21. In 1996 me and a friend had to watch a safety video at cameltoe for skiing a closed trail.
  22. I'm in the database at Blue mountain. I actually didnt see Hans Buckley at all this season
