I just remembered I need new poles. I don’t know if anybody noticed but my old poles got bent and became kind of sticky and one of them finally snapped in half in the last corner of burma closing day. I ended up just using a pile of similar length I found under the lift but now I need new poles. RIP yellow poles 2013-2024 always remembered never forgotten

30 snowmaking cannons going on razors at once sounds good to me. I’m happy about the falls getting more firepower as much as I enjoy skiing the whole lazy mile to that awkward turn onto shuttle..I like cutting the corner half the time no snow there. I’m ready for ski season. I should start buying some gear as opposed to most years when it’s three days before the start of the season and same old kit

I stayed there for as low as $50 a night but usually I paid $69-100 a night granted it was in 2010 but still that’s cheap for a richie rich Vermont ski town..I remember in the pre IPhone days writing my reports from the public computer in the lobby, taking safety breaks with Dime back behind the hotel and entertaining Johnny Style and Melissa there as well. The 49er at Jackson hole used to be super basic, the old lobby was tiny and several years ago they did a total overhaul and upgraded the whole place…some of the old blue recliners are still around. The upgrades were before 2018 when @mbike-ski was sending it into the pool after a gallon of suds.
